Title: Khurasan releases the alien Itu'a
Post by: Khurasan Miniatures on February 11, 2015, 06:28:31 PM
We are very pleased to release the alien Itu'a, entomalians from another dimension who intrude into our plane of existence in order to make war on, or sometimes assist, the various interstellar empires, including the Federation -- for reasons unknown.

Itu'a infantry sections are made of eleven insectoids -- two fire teams of four riflebugs plus a weapons-worm, with a section commander.  There are four poses of riflebugs, two of weapons-worms, and a section leader.  These are smaller than humans but their biorifles are no less powerful and they are equipped with a set of pincer arms that make the creatures more than capable of holding their own in close assault.

The Tarkhan heroes of the Itu'a are already well known to Federal troopers as the Assault Crabs.  Massive and heavily protected, these creatures are called in to take the toughest enemy defensive positions.

The leadership caste of the Itu'a appear to be the Plasmyn Aristocrats, whose bodies are physically shrivelled and so they ride into battle in personal biomecha suits.  These suits, called Satraps, are actually semi-sentient living things that can fight independently without the Plasmyn pilot, but without the command capability of course.

A future release will be the transport and heavy anti-armour element of a Myriad, the Rukh warbeast.  This eight-legged monster carries Myriads, and even Satrap suits, around in its gut, vomiting them forth right into the teeth of enemy forces.  That disgusting feat accomplished, these creatures then become the bane of armoured commanders, for they then become hellbent on charging and overturning opposing AFVs.

Ben Siens sculpted the infantry models -- thanks to Roy Duffy for the excellent paintups.  Available now:

I think it would be funny to field these figures as a species of shortarses in a 28mm game lol
