They're Peter Gilder sculpts.
I've had them all in the past and been happy with them but unless you like the style they don't stand up to direct comparison to modern figures for realism/detail etc.
These are the goats:

The other pictures I found were too small or mis-labelled and not actually the miniatures in question.

Thanks for that  8). I didn't expect that the mini's would stand well next to the Perry stuff that I'm using for the Sudan.

It's more the accoutrements that come with the mini's than the actual figures i'm interested in. I can replace the human figures with plastic conversions from the Perry plastic set and a bit of putty.

Thanks Mike 8). The actual stalls are mostly hidden(?) by the architecture?

I'll have a gander at the site and see if i can glean any more info about the structure and size of the actual stalls.

Here's the only stall I have left (not the correct stall holder, this one's from BCB)

This is complete with the jugs etc it came with. Base is 60mm

Funny - I looked at the picture and thought it showed exactly what the stalls and holders were like...

Darrell,

Are you familiar with the Australian company Eureka Miniatures?

They make a dozen different packs of Middle-Eastern and Indian civilians, including everything from haggling stall vendors to a snake charmer, including a couple of packs of just women and children.  I bought one of just about each of them for use in my Second Afghan War games.

Here's a not very good pic of one of their civilians with one of their stalls...

If you're already familiar with the figures please forgive me for this wasted post... but if not, here's a link to the first of two pages from Eureka's 28mm "Civilians and Vignettes" range (page one has the Middle-Eastern Civilians and page two has the Indians):

That's more like what i'm looking for.... thanks Mad Guru!  8) 8) 8)

I'll have a good gander at their website- at least they have most of their mini's pictures- something that i think Bicorne could benefit from..... most folk just won't buy what they cannot see first.

Mad Guru,

I've just checked through all the items from Eureka in the link you posted and there is a lot of stuff that I could use for the NWF and the Sudan. Thanks again for posting that link- it's going to prove very useful as my collections grow!!  8) 8) 8)
