Title: More Musketeer WW1
Post by: Musketeer on September 24, 2008, 12:54:05 PM
Here are the latest WIP's from our WW1/IWI ranges. The British infantry are for the IWI/BEF as is the horse and rider doll. The rest are Russians. Enjoy!  :)

Well be expanding the IWI British into a full BEF army as Paul is really enjoying the period. Germans may follow.
And yes I hope to have the first outing of the Russians at Crisis. Thanks for the comments chaps!  :)

Early or late ones? I hope early ones, because I don't know any good manufactor with a long range of early WWI Germans ...

I really like the British figures… I hope the horse will have ammo pouch on the collar (can we use that word for a horse?)  :?

I may buy a Russian pack or two to give a try at snow covered bases... lol

Great figures none the less Paul.

I would have love to have it on the horses because I always find it looked cool but I don't even know if it was done in the early years of the war...  lol

Very attractive figures, looking forward to seeing more of them.

Are you doing artillery crews too ?

Will the Russians get any dismounted cossack types ?
Especially cossack artillery crews ?

The dismounted cavalry troop type is becoming a popular request isn't it.

I've noticedd it a lot in the last couple of months

The Irish range just gets better and better, but now I have to admit that those Russians are also looking very tempting. Beautiful figures to say the least. Long time I saw so much character in a figure.

Since I have no intention of starting another WWI project, I'm quite safe.
Unless they could be used for RCW in which case I'm probably doomed.... :-)

Speaking of British Cav...there are going to be two Canadian Cavalry reenactors fully mounted (with original horse gear) in the Remembrance day parade Sunday here where I live...talk about impressive! There is also a local chap that owns and has restored an Mk1 18 pound gun! It's...dare I say it...beautiful!!!

I'll try to get some pics of the Cav Sunday.

Right here's the promised pics....I took these Yesterday morning (Sunday) at the local Remembrance Day Parade. They represent Canadians, but the uniform and everything else is the same. In fact Canadian Cav were in British Brigades and not separate like the other branches.
