Title: Captain James McCall's SC Mounted Militia
Post by: kingsmt on March 04, 2015, 08:56:10 AM
Here's a couple of shots of Capt. James McCall's Mounted unit that fought with William Washington at Cowpens. The figures are the excellent Eureka mounted militia, with a couple of others thrown in. McCall is one of the unsung heroes of the AWI and he and his men fought all over the South. These are just a few of my McCall's unit, as I have lots more to show off when they are finshed.

I have pictures of the finished 3 rd Continental Cavalry to post tomorrow or the next day. I'm starting on the British Legion tomorrow and should finish a 36 horse troop later in the week.

Who knows? Someone may even leave a comment.

Lovely work on those. I've been meaning to pick up a few of those to use as mounted scouts.

Nice looking figures.
Eureka makes some fine figures.
I noticed that your figures have different hats.
I like that.
Love your basing, makes the figures stand out.

Did you use some of your own (ie King's Mountain) heads on the Eureka figures?  If so, they seem to work quite well.

Baron,  No. The Eureka figures come with seperate hats, so that you can use the same pose with about 10 different hats to make every figure unique.
Eureka makes wonderful figures and Nic is an exceptional person to deal with.

I have done so frequently myself, and couldn't agree with you more.
