Welcome to my secret lair on Skullcrusher Mountain
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/21/1352_23_03_15_1_08_55_0.JPG)
I hope that you've enjoyed your stay so far
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/21/1352_23_03_15_1_08_59_2.JPG)
I see you've met my assistant Scarface
His appearance is quite disturbing
But I assure you he's harmless enough
He's a sweetheart, calls me master
And he has a way of finding pretty things and bringing them to me
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/21/1352_23_03_15_1_09_00_3.JPG)
Oh, and I'm so into you
But I'm way too smart for you
Even my henchmen think I'm crazy
I'm not surprised that you agree
If you could find some way to be
A little bit less afraid of me
You'd see the voices that control me from inside my head
Say I shouldn't kill you yet
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/21/1352_23_03_15_1_09_02_4.JPG)
I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you
But I get the feeling that you don't like it
What's with all the screaming?
You like monkeys, you like ponies
Maybe you don't like monsters so much
Maybe I used too many monkeys
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/21/1352_23_03_15_1_09_47_1.JPG)
Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?
Oh, and I'm so into you
But I'm way too smart for you
Even my henchmen think I'm crazy
I'm not surprised that you agree
If you could find some way to be
A little bit less afraid of me
You'd see the voices that control me from inside my head
Say I shouldn't kill you yet
Picture the two of us alone inside my golden submarine
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/21/1352_23_03_15_1_09_48_2.JPG)
While up above the waves my doomsday squad ignites the atmosphere
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/21/1352_23_03_15_1_09_49_3.JPG)
And all the fools who lead their foolish lives may find it quite explosive
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/21/1352_23_03_15_1_09_50_4.JPG)
Well it won't mean half as much to me if I don't have you here
You know it isn't easy living here on Skullcrusher Mountain
Maybe you could cut me just a little slack
Would it kill you to be civil?
I've been patient, I've been gracious
And this mountain is covered with wolves
(http://leadadventureforum.com/gallery/21/1352_23_03_15_1_10_35_0.JPG)
Hear them howling, my hungry children
Maybe you should stay and have another drink and think about me and you
Oh, and I'm so into you
But I'm way too smart for you
Even my henchmen think I'm crazy
I'm not surprised that you agree
If you could find some way to be
A little bit less afraid of me
You'd see the voices that control me from inside my head
Say I shouldn't kill you yet
I shouldn't kill you yet
I shouldn't kill you yet

And done...
I have had this project interfering and interrupting everything else until I could get it all out of my skull. I am...spent. It started when I was perusing ebay for Monsterpocalypse stuff when I had Coulton's music playing in the background, and I went 'Oh, these monkeys would be a good doomsday squad...' and the next thing I know, I was finding stuff for everything.
Extra points to whoever figures out why I have those particular numbers on the ape jump packs.
I am now considering making some extra levels to my Fallout Vault, so that I can also use it as Skullcrusher Mountain, but that is a less intrusive mental conundrum.

Ha ha! Brilliant. So much barmy goodness. I was really starting to wonder what was going to turn up next. My favourites are the scientist on his podium and the damsel in distress. Who makes the apes in the green armour?
-
They are Monsterpocalypse figures, from the pre-painted collectible range. The podium is a 'teleport pad' from a 3D printer I found on EBay. This project was just FUN...
-
A wonderfully mad project you have going there ... :)
-
Great work! :-*
-
Brilliantly insane love it all
-
Really inventive and very pulpy!
-
Brilliant. :-*
-
Thanks, everyone. It was a a labor of love. Now to use it against my wife's League...
-
Wow, great concept. Looks like lots of fun. :D
-
Great poisonous Monkeys!
Well Apes really! The poor girl is running from pillar to post.
Love it and the Scientist is by definition. "Genius!" :)
-
Oh, and I almost forgot the link...

-
That is brilliant.
I'd forgotten how much fun Jonathan Coulton's stuff is. "First of May" is a favourite, which I will NOT link to from here - but go hit YouTube with safe search turned off and nobody easily offended/too young within earshot. :D
-
You are possitively insane. Buahahaha! :D :D :D :D lol

Yeah, I have ended up buying everything he has done, but I am not going to do a 1st of May league...
-
Fantastic! I love the Reaper Scientist. I hadn't thought to try and sneak the smaller Monsterpocalypse models into a 28mm scale game. I'm going to have to dig through my old collection now!
-
I really like the insanity of this project. And yours, of course. Pony-monkey?! Seriously? :o :-*

I have found that a lot of them work pretty well - the apes and the Shinobi certainly do, and I use the smaller Terrasaurs for Fallout Geckos.

What? You don't like monsters so much? :D
-
A really nice gang, with many interesting characters and accessories :D
-
Yeah, I have ended up buying everything he has done, but I am not going to do a 1st of May league...
Most of the characters mentioned in the song could be perfectly innocent looking on the tabletop, actually. "The man with the tan Shar-Pei", "the lady who sold ice cream" - the whole league could be one giant filthy in-joke that looked just slightly odd!
:D
-
Is it sad I was singing it in my head as I was reading the post?
Love the "team". The other representation of the song that I liked was using WOW mods to make a video.
-
Sir,
You win the internet with that one. Mr. Coulton would be proud.

Hmm - a more 'pulp' league could very well be that simple....dammit, Wirelizard!
-
outstanding...obsessive without being tragic...well done. :D :D :D :D
-
Brilliant work, Sinewgrab! I can't wait to see them in action. ;)
HAVE FUN
-
Just found this set of yours via your more recent thread, Sinewgrab. Absolutely brilliant work.
Immediately showed it to my wife, who loves painting minis. Your Monkey-pony has inspired her. Remember, when making a monster, the key is to never over-monkey the pony.

I have seen them in action.
A fun league to go against.
Seems like the flying apes are the first to die. ;D
His Scienist is so hard to knock down.
He has 5d10 for Dodge.
Very hard to get the little s**t, lol
but the day will come. ;)
All in all, lots of fun. :)
