Many moons ago I played Cthulhu RPG religiously and as a GM was always looking for a new angle. If only I found this stuff then, it would have been perfect. All I'd have to do is give it a name:

Here's another version. Give the clip a minute, it's worth the wait:

Mate of mine is a chemical engineer and says it's the real deal.

That's cool and weird and horrible and fantastic and disgusting all in one go!
-
I'm not sure what to say. Weird but cool.
-
What is that kind of stuff (and where can I get this)? :)
-
Reminds me of the little black tablet things you could get in the 80's from Jokeshops.
You lit the tablet and it grew into a black snake like thing, or as I remember, something resembling a black turd...
Am I the only one who remember these, or are the paint fumes getting to me? ;D
Very cool though, I wonder if it sets hard, it would make amazing scenery.

Neat! Instant Cthulhu!

I vaguely remember them. Weren't very big? Couple of inches long when done?
-
YES!! I WANT SOME!
-
O.k, prizes for anyone who knows where to get some of this. Just the ticket for my new Mars terrain. Think I remember the old toy from the early 80's.But from memory wasn't the stuff very brittle and flaky when you touched it?
-
It was almost like cigarette ash, wasn't it?
-
The stuff from the 80's you're talking about were called 'snakes'. Weren't very big, so they didn't get more than a few inches after you ignited them. Don't know if you can even buy snakes anymore. Though the stuff on those videos are epic, definately worth looking into.
-
And yes, they were a bit stiffer than cigarette ash, but only just.
We had them at our fireworks stands around the time of our Indepenance Day celebration.
You could put a few of the tablets together to make a thicker snake.
I'm wondering if you could spray it with varnish, ever so lightly, until you built up a thick enough layer to be rigid.

;D Don't do this a home kids! The fumes are toxic
actually everything in there is highly toxic... I am married to chemist and she wouldn't allow it :'(
Again a perfect example that wifes do not support war-gaming needs...
-
Good thing I don't have one then! ;D

Yep, you can still buy 'snakes' they sell them here in my state around the 4th of July....
I loved stacking bunches of them together and making a huge python sized one!

The fumes of most cool things are toxic lol :o o_o :-[
Of course, you could perform the ill-advised and moderately dangerous sulfuric acid into sugar experiment. It generates a ton of heat and sulfur gas, but you get a huge carbon snake out of the deal. I don't think it has any real use in gaming though.

Looks like the morning after curry night! lol
-
You'd have to fight that in real time... and then your gaming table would burn down. Still cool though! :D
