Title: Warsaw Pact Vismods
Post by: carlos marighela on April 07, 2015, 09:29:17 AM
Came across this in my wanderings through the interwebby.

It really shouldn't come as a surprise but I've never seen photos of Soviet bloc vehicles mocked up to look like their NATO counterparts. There was a long running myth that the East Germans had a battalion's worth of M-48 and M113 obtained from Vietnam for a Skorzeny like black operation but there doesn't seem any evidence to support it.

Anyway, for folk who wish to be creative in their cold war scenarios and fancy modifying a plastic T-34 or an ISU-2, here are some useful visual references.*

" I doubt they were intended for this purpose merely as training aids but hey there's nothing to say it couldn't happen.
