The white in the upper entry and especially the grey really blows me here. It seems the pic swallows some highlights. However, which colour is the grey based on or is it a mix with some dark blue?
@ verd
all the more because of the scale ... Your painting is great! Many painters haven't that much details with 28ers.
excellent

What he said. I wish I could paint white half as good as this.
And I like the many colours of the heavy knights. They look really good.
Damn, I can't have an easy choice this round...

and what I just realized ... each of verd's base has its own colour, yellow, blue, red from left to right ...
Makes it easier to identify otherwise eaqual units in any given tabletop situation.
... geeee ... o_o

Does anybody know the make of the Crusader knight figures?
Both entries are stunning!
-
The Crusaders are from Crusader Miniatures, what're the chances of that happening ;)
The grey is supposed to be faded black, bit of dark blue added to black then white, about 4 layers.
The whites are a brown base, a grey base and a cream base all highlighted up to just off pure white. again about 4 layers.
Excellent 15s Verd, respect! 8)

Both entries are great the colors on the crusaders are very crisp and the detail put into 15mm figures is astounding.

Vallejo Model Colours?

Vallejo Model Colours?
Plaka.
-
aha? thanks, and are the Plaka even more dull than Vallejo? I knew it from the former Reaper colours or Pegasus (basically the same). Very dull, all the more compared to GW (silk mat).
-
Because I mix colours they're as dull as I want them to be. I wouldn't say Plaka is duller than acrylics, quite the opposite, as you control how thick you want the paint to be. Like any paint the more highlight layers you put on the brighter they look.
-
The Prof is another confirmed Plaka user...
They have a slightly strange texture that takes a bit of getting used to.
A very nice range of colours though.
I painted my five very first metal 25mm figures (Hinchliffe ECW figures, about 35 years ago) with Plaka orange coats. So I have a residual affection for the brand :)

Thanks very much for the comments guys!
Bugsda, that's a stunning work. I specially love how you blend tones on the white robes.

You honour me, sir :)
