Blimey! You've just reminded me that i have 11 Beja painted up thus far and at least as many 28mm mini's to paint up just for the Mahdists!! :o :o
I've been snowed under with painting for Salute so my Sudan (and NWF and now Indian Mutiny!!) will be continued post Salute!
Keep us all updated with how this army grows as it will serve as inspiration and impetus for me to get stuck into the Mahdists!!

This is inspiring, I'm doing my Sudan/Colonials in 28mm, and it's great to see how much life and detail you are getting into these 15mm. :)

Remember when your painting beja(fuzzywuzzys)that after around December 1884 they shaved there heads and wore a shorter type of patterned, mass produced jibbeh.
-
Gerard, you dastardly scoundrel! You shame me, sir, you shame me. I've had such a large collection for such a long time and in their entirety they rest recumbent in shiny - or sometimes dullish - metallic color. Oh, the shame, the shame. Can I ever lift my head in public again?
Nicely done, sir, a remarkable job. Now, when I send you my address to ship that lot to me, do you expect me to pay postage or will you include that as well as all those fine figures? Of course, I do expect you to play a game or two with them first.
What, jealousy, you say? Nolo contendre, your honor.
FifteensAway casting off.
