whoaa ... tricky one. Two questions here about the aerolancers. Why not using then in round 5 or ... what can we expect THEN?
And ... where are those ... ahm ... dragonflies from? I think to have seen them somewhere before, already (the sculpt not the entry!).
best wishes

It's a great shame the lancers are slightly out of focus...

another hard choice ,well done both .

I'd like to know where the dragonflies are from too.
The Shimazu are really nicely done.

Seconded.

The dragonflies are Mage Knight figures. All I did with them was rebase them. And rip the old riders off. And carve them out a bit to fit the new rider's legs. And do a bit of retouched painting.
The new riders are from Victoria Miniatures, down in Oz. I really like them. Enough that I am going to replace my GW Praetorians with more of them. Eventually.
I didn't save them for round 5 because they are mechanical, and might not have worked as 'animals' because of it. I have something else planned for that round. I need to get back to work on them, too.
As far as focus is concerned, I am not a good photographer, sadly. I am working on that. Plus, the size makes it hard to get close enough to see detail and see multiple figures at the same time.
But I am glad you liked them!

I repeatedly realized that using the makro is not the solution for photographing minis. Using more distance - say 20 to 30 or more cm - but highest pixel-resolution is often the trick. Zooming in afterwards if necessary.
Makros come in handy when doing step-by-step for eyes and such.

Drachenklige: I will try that on future photos. Maybe they will come out better that way. Thanks for the tip.

Awesome entries. Both. I’m far from painting on that master level. So I just applaud and beg your pardon for a 99,99 to 99,98 decision. Also thanks for the Info about Victoria Miniatures. Didn’t know that VSF manufacturer yet.
