love the 15mm supers, where are they from?
-
The poor lighting on the pic for the 15mm Supers probably doesn't do the mini's justice.
-
That blue tinge in your pic hasn't helped you this round Calimero.
Are those Deadzone minis in the second pic?
-
I'll have "that blue tinge" for my first three entries... due to poor photography/image editing skills lol
The 15mm Supers are from Olg Glory (US).
The Zombies "extras" are from Khurasan Minis.

Calimero, I'm pretty sure the good Captain would accept a replacement picture for round 3 if you'd deliver one. Have you ever checked the white-balance on your camera?
-
The good Captain already offered me to retake the pictures for these rounds but, a) I don’t have the figures with me since they were commission work and b) I’m not sure I could do better pictures even with a crash course in photography… ;D
-
But Your pics were far more better in LPL6! What did You do then? Repeat it, if possible.
-
I’m guessing I’m one of these people that go from bad to worse in some domain… lol
Seriously, I now live in what we call a demi sous-sol apartment which is much darker. I’m also wondering if there’s something wrong with my camera as a lot of the pictures I’ve taken lately look kind of "grainy" when I use the macro option. That being said, I’ve tried to reset my camera and I think pictures for rounds 4 and 5 will look a little bit better… hopefully 8)

I am by no stretch of the imagination a good photographer, but I found that my white balance problems pretty much went away when I started using a grey card for white balance correction.
I don't know what type of camera you have, but I now set up my lights, take an image of the grey card (I use a credit card size one) and load it into the camera's auto white balance setting. The difference it makes is remarkable.
The card I use is this one (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kaavie-GC-2-Pocket-White-Balance/dp/B007XZKQ9K/ref=sr_1_1), which only cost a few quid.

Calimero, under the circumstances - that you no longer have the figures - I am going to open your round 3 entry in photo editor and hit the 'colour auto-fix button'. Okay?
It sounds like the voters have seen enough of your 'blue period' for this LPL ;)
Fingers crossed for the later rounds :)
-
I have to agree with the blue tinge as well. I've been up against you in almost every LPL I participated in and the change in pictures is not for the better. Which is a shame, as I have come to appriciate your painting syle more and more. I hope you manage to get the setup better and look foward to seeing your next entries as well. a particular trick that I sometimes use is to take a halogen lamp and instead of using it for direct lightning, I aim it at a (glossy) sheet of white paper that I use for directing and difusing the light. How to exactly hold the sheet is a bit of trial and error :)
Are those Deadzone minis in the second pic?
Indeed they are. Really like how they came out for the most part, there is enough that I would like to improve, but I'll just do that on the next batch, as these were also tabletop quality for club games. (I noticed I I'm mostly doing that nowadays).
-
Sadly I can't see the highlights on the wonderful supers figures do to a poor photo its a shame really.
-
I just looked at the 'blue' entry after a short photoshop colour correction. Impressive. So hopefully round 4 and further will reveal the paintjob in all his pride.
-
I have the figures! :D
Do you want me to take a picture?

This picture is very nice... are you really, really sure these are the same figures? lol
Thanks for the picture Oldben1. It really show my poor photography skills! J'ai une très grosse pente à remonter, as we say here... ;D
Cheers!
