Hi guys
Just finished this commission for 28mm Perry Highlanders as the Black Watch (I will have painted this unit 3 times in 2 different scale by the end of next week) as usual Perry figs are great, although there are a couple little areas were the mould looks worn.

Hi guys
Haven't painted much over the last 2 weeks, my mum is on her death bed with liver cancer, but I have managed to get this lot done, 28mm American War of Independence Blackwatch, I believe these are Perry miniatures, they look like them anyway, as usual my photography is crap, the green looks very yellow, doesn't in real life, all comments welcome.

Hi guys
Some 15mm Xan miniatures painted as the 92nd Gordon Highlanders to add to this Highlanders thread, have only painted 18mm ABs at this scale before and the little bit of extra size allowed me to do the bonnet chequers better on the ABs, struggled a little with these Xan, they are more true 15s.

Lovely work, they look very decent figures, and such a great paint job. :)
-
Thanks gents.
-
Lovely work :-* always lots of respect for painting Highlanders whatever the scale.
-
Very nice, don't know how you paint them close together on the sticks though. Would drive me loopy
-
Thanks guys, I actually like painting them on the sticks, it helps with production line painting.

Very nice work indeed... I have those Perry AWI Black Watch, and they are lovely figures, which you have more than done justice to.
-
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
-
Thanks fellas.
-
Beautiful tartan through out :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
-
Dan,
The brushwork on those Perry figures looks great! You are the man when it comes to painting highlanders and tartans!!
Cheers,
Mike
-
Thanks gents.
-
Lovely work, but you might need to re-think the AWI line infantry drummer in the last photo. He appears to be in a blue coat; however, regiments with dark blue facings did NOT reverse colours for their drums/fifes - they wore a red coat with the Royal lace, which at this size/scale would look yellow. Check out this website:-
http://www.fifedrum.org/crfd/BD_1.htm
(Click of "British Regiments in North America 1775-1783" and then go to the entries for the 4th, 7th, 8th, 18th, 21st or 23rd Foot.
