Title: Flockbox - anything similar in the US?
Post by: Kealios on April 23, 2015, 02:42:00 AM
So I stumbled across this tool, which is not new to most of you, I'm sure;

http://www.warpainter.net/Flockboxpages/Flockbox.html (http://www.warpainter.net/Flockboxpages/Flockbox.html)

Only issue, which isnt huge, is that it's in the UK and I'm in the US. Any comparable/reliable alternatives in the US that you all can recommend?

And since I'm on the subject of static grass, this guy https://sologeneral.wordpress.com/terrain-and-scenery/ (https://sologeneral.wordpress.com/terrain-and-scenery/) recommends http://www.war-world.co.uk/product.php/5662420/ (http://www.war-world.co.uk/product.php/5662420/) for his 6mm grass. Anyone know of a US product with a 4mm-tall static grass like this?

I can't help with a US supplier.
I did go to the web sites listed.
Looks very cool.
Now you have me starting to look.
But may just have to order from the UK.

When I lived Stateside I looked all over for something similar.  This is what I settled for.

I can tell you it does the job.  The only thing that I did was to use a metal plate under the model for the current to run through.
You can get a bit of a shock if you are not careful about keeping the lead and the basket apart.
Here is the link to their site.

Hope that helps.
Snitchy sends.

Following this very post. I have built myself a Home-Made Static Grass Applicator.
