A belated battle report!

On Thursday evening James and I had another great game of Chain of Command pitting his Frenchmen against my Germans in a Patrol scenario.

It's been a long time due, but finally a victory for the Frenchmen.

Every time I see one of your games Paul I have this uncontrollable urge to play! Especially after the WorLard day and my first experiences of the CoC version of TTM&TB.
Hopefully we'll have some sort of campaign day at the club in Durham sometime soon [praying hands smiley] :)
Brilliant looking game :-* :-* :-*

Cheers Darrell
I reckon after we have got Partizan out of the way it will be time to start an 'At the Sharp End' campaign to give our games a bit of a story and to help minimize our casualties.

Another great game of the Great War.

Another fine looking game.
I have very much enjoyed following you games.
Thanks for sharing.

Another excellent Battle Report. :)
You are an inspiration.

Anna, do you do any 28mm WWI wargaming in Colorado? If so, do you know of a group for this or any other players?
I've got a big pile of British and German 28mms all painted and ready to go (I posted photos on here a while ago) but am having a hard time drumming up any interest here in Denver.
-
Cessna, I'm down in Pueblo, and don't really know anyone anymore. :(
It's a shame, I'm almost finished w/ 2 sections of 1914 BEF. I just can't get out much right now, because of my health.
-
Pueblo? Too bad, that's a bit far for a quick game, even if it is WWI! I know a few folks who drive up from the Springs to get a game in, but Pueblo seems awfully far...
If you're ever up in Denver, let me know. These are the 28mms I have painted up, British and German. I had hopes that Warlord would produce a WWI book for Bolt Action, but it looks like they're putting that on hold. I'm still hoping to get my group interested somehow...

Those forces are Awesome! :)
You never know, if I can get up to Denver, I'd probably be up for 2-3 days, maybe we could get some gaming done.
I got ahold of "Triumph and Tragedy", it seems pretty good for Great War.

WOW

That is a great collection of stuff.

Anna,
The best rules by far that i have played for the Late Great War were the Chain of Command hybrid driven version of Through the Mud and the Blood by the Too Fat Lardies:
They're here is you're interested:

Thanx Darrell, those look really good. :) The Christmas special even has stuffs for East Africa, and I was just reading about that. :)
I'm almost done with my Mutton Chop BEF minis, just a few details, touch-ups, and basing to finish.

It works really well and isn't as in depth as Through the Mud and the Blood but provides a really entertaining game. Richard Lard is something of a genius when it comes to writing rules IMHO.

Make sure you post pics when they're finished :)

I'll be posting them soon.
Two 10-man sections and two Officers is what I have so far.
