Mr. Marx,

They look very nice. Though not a huge fan of the later incarnations of Gundam (with a few exceptions), you did a great job of bringing the spirit of the setting to life. I have long lamented the lack of anything resembling fleet scale mecha. I had once wanted to run a mecha fleet in Full Thrust and had considered converting 6mm infantry.

What did you use for these?

They're great, just up my alley. What are those figures and where did you get them?

I have a bunch of Jovian Chronicles exos that I'm slowly painting along.

I would really love to see Dream Pod make fleet scaled representation of their mecha. The fact that most of their mecha models are bigger than the ships for their games really bugs me. I really regret getting rid of my old RAFM JC mecha.

Hey guys

I used Ground Zero Games Japanese Mecha-Fighter Models and added...stuff....

The bigger lads are just outher stuff, all from the 25mm GZG ranges.

I think DP9 is doing that, actually. I saw a picture of some prototypes on their forum. But keep in mind this was quite a long time ago. They're promising a lot of changes for JC Blitz, but keep postponing it.

Doh! Now you say it, I recognize them all.

I'd like to say again how cool it is to see something a bit "different" here on LAF. Especially when that something is Gundam-style mechs.

Is that a 15mm GZG power armor or one of their 25mm?

Hey Mr. Marx,

Not to pull anything away from your gifted ability, but have you seen the different Gundam models/minis out there? Maybe for additions, or substitutions? Not sure if it is a scale thing or not. Just curious. :-)

Thank you for your kind comments :)
Ive had a look about for real gundams, but there all rather large. I cant find anything in scale with anything I want to do.
If youve seen some you think would be good, dont hesitate to say so  ;)

There is a substantial lack of fleet scale mecha. The smallest Gundams I have found are 1/400 which puts them at about the size of a 25mm figure. I am currently waiting for a couple of boxes to arrive right now.

Brigade Models has some new 6mm scifi infantry that might convert into a Zaku-looking mobile suit pretty easily.

As Zakus, I think they might work fine. Zeon suits have a tendancy to be bulkier than Fed suits, though I can't speak so much for the later generations of Gundam.

As for the "25mm Gundams" they are not 25mm scale. They are 1/400 scale and size up comparable to a 25mm human fig. I'll post some pics when I receive mine, but if you are looking to pick some up, use some Search-Fu using the mantra, "Gundam Collection" or "1/400 Gundam".

They have been releasing them for some time now and they are collectible minis so are sold randomly. You may have trouble getting hold of some of the older sets, but if Wing and SEED are your Gundams of choice, you may be in luck as they seem to have opened with the earlier generations of Gundam and worked their way toward the present through their sets. I had to look around on a few sites to find the ones I want which are mainly from the 0079-0083 era (One Year War+) and then some stuff from Zeta Gundam.

Hope this helps,
