Based in Australia eh? ;)
I had a look on their site and found the punks which I quite liked, but couldn't find bikes. ???

that last one has a deathrace 2000 vibe
Thought I'd do a quick conversion on this one, so simply didn't open it, glued the wheels ontop of the standard wheels... then came up with the idea of cladding it which meant it took just as long as any other...

I think this one is my favorite so far. :)
Some more nice stuff. What are you using for the armouring and the bumpers etc? Is it plasticard or foam of some kind?
Can I ask what rules you plan to use for the gaming?
get the old chassis and crossbow rules for car wars.
Phil, the driver is a bloody good idea!!
Then as if by magic a pile of Ramshackle bikers turn up, they're just perfect!

Phil the Interceptor is looking great! Bravo mate ;D Now a quick question- how you get the rivets out of the bottom of the car?
I will be doing some drivers over the next few weeks. Can I please get some advice on how you want them to fit into the cars? I can do them holding a steering wheels so its easy to fit them, but is there any kind of "average size and shape" for the driver position?
I will be doing some gun turrets and mounts with with gunners too. Any suggestions or comment would be welcome!
Car is coming along wonderfully. I think HW has a 'Real Racers' line that has premium tires.
How did you make the nosecone Phil? Do you have pics?
Waht do you use for the mesh?
That's coming along nicely. Hope to make my own next month. All of your hints and tips are extremely useful. Look forward to seeing the finished article.
It's a pity that you don't cast all these things up on the spot ;)
Well if there's enough expressed interest it's highly doable. They would be slower builds though as making for playing and making for casting are quite different. ;)I want one. Right now. But, to be fair, that interest might go down a lot during a month. New shiny stuff is always around the corner after all :D
where did you get the interceptor engine blower?
The most fiddly bit yet was bashing together the part of the engine which sticks out the top of the bonnet.

Painted, put it together, painted it some more, put it in the post to StedersCheers Phil
What did you use for a driver?
that looks great! i've got to get some of that rust paint.
The hill looks intriguing, any other pics? :)
BTW how long did it take you to glue all those spikes on?
lol
Had a bout of losing words. I meant the Remake with Statham. I was trying to be funny, but I failed.
Will you be doing the chrome war band too?
There's some very promising looking cars there, I guess you could start drilling them apart. :/Was about to yesterday, but apparently the battery for the drill was aloof. So I had to order a new one... So far the project is -50£...
Time for a bit of autogeddon rules testing methinks.
I like that the vehicles are somewhere between the second, third and fourth films :)
Damen und Herren I present the cutting edge of tasteless automobility... the Swasticar: http://i.imgur.com/fBSjJVu.jpg (http://i.imgur.com/fBSjJVu.jpg)
Due to the nature of the decoration of this vehicle I'm unable to post an image of it on here, a German hosted server, so you'll have to click through. If you reply to this post please don't post the image.
A vehicle perfect for the Hit'ler and Runs...
I can help you with the builds. (we did mad max car wars to death in the 90's)
You could to a chevey big block air filter too.
6milphil - i've seen other (car modelling) people use ford gran tarino as proxys for the falcon as the body types are very similar. using the same logic i suppose a ranchero could be used for the sandman.
Neat looking engines Phil 8) can we have a scale shot to see how teeny weeny they are? :)

You keep on inspiring :) While I get stuck on getting the fucking metal bar between the wheels off...
Thanks guys. :DI drill the hull away and than remove the plastic tabs :) But that bloody steel rod is taking the piss. I want to remove it completely, not snipping it near the wheel. But, your cotton cleaner thingy gave me an idea!
If the base is plastic, and many are, you can just cut off the three tabs holding it... well if you've taken the car apart first. Otherwise I snip off one fluted end, but it's steel so a top pair of snippers.
sorted. One vote for the interceptor
Hehe, the one popping a wheely makes me laugh.
+1. Amazing project Phil !
I used to paint rust by hand. It can look super nice but my god its time consuming. It so nice to just produce it by magic instead.
Also brings up a fairly valid point with this hobby of ours and life in general. That is having the right tool for the job combined with the know how on using it makes the job go so much smoother and better.
Yes, but it's international P&P.
I am very much inclined to put my hand up to fund a range of hotwheels sized gang types.
Those Vuvalina look sharp. If they were a challenge to build then they were well worth the extra effort. The shawl/smocks and earth tones contrast nicely with your war boys.
I got the art of mad max fury road book yesterday.
You need this book. Its super duper nice and with tons of great background art and pics. It made me stupidly happy.

I have a sheet of those 'rivets' for my strandbeest. They really are good value.
Very nice bus! 8) 8)
My sequins are little hex shaped ones I use for bolt heads.

what more do you people want from us and our sequins!
Nice find Phil, remember to (except in Far Cry) never use a flamer while fighting there.

they had me until I saw it was energy drink related. Give you a heart attack at 42 those things....Or a stroke at 41.
I got a bunch of little sized figs at little wars melbourne. I have no idea who made them but they are nice. I will take some pics. These 4 are all Dark Future minis from Citadel.
I had no idea Stan was pretty much set up for US only business. I am very much inclined to put my hand up to fund a range of hotwheels sized gang types.

I have only just found this thread...I think it is my new favourite thing on the internet!
Thanks, it would have been tighter had I thought of it before sticking the panels to the side. :?
What are you drilling rivets out with? I'm using a 3mm HSS bit in a speed variable hand drill, takes less than 30 seconds a piece.
Does remind me to ask: How are the crew going?
Nice, love the winch on front being connected to the harpoon.
The last one of these for a while...
