A really tricky one this: one is all about handling bright colour, the other all about handling drabs. They're very hard to compare.
-
I think they're both superb, in different ways. Well done gentlemen - two of the best entries in the league so far, for my money :)
-
Damn this is the type of round we usually see in the last round!

I don't know there's another cracker on the other channel too! But this is damn fine stuf!
Prof can you tell us where the minis are from?
-
But does Prof outrank Dr?

But does Prof outrank Dr?
In academia, yes.
Over here - good grief, it's a very tough call..... :o :o :o :o
-
Please let us have a vote for both option!!! This is too damn difficult to decide! :o
Love them both! Congrats on magnificent entries chaps :D
-
Good lord, that's a beauty of an entry, Matt, I'm more than just impressed :o Good luck on this!
Prof can you tell us where the minis are from?
A wild mix, actually. Copplestone (armed Tibetans, Sherpas in the front of the view, Yaks), Westwind (rearguard Sherpas and the one Yeti with raised claws), Foundry (the adventurer leader), Pulp Figures (the guy betweeen the trees), Monolith Designs (the Yeti statue).
-
Y'all make it really difficult to choose. :)
Some of the very finest work I've evers seen.
-
Both entries are fantastic, difficult partly due to the contrast between the two genre and style wise.
But...those Soda Pop minis are highly detailed!! You did great justice to them Dr!! Nice transitions on the flat surfaces.

Absolutely! Could not agree more! Very different styles, but both handled with great facility....
-
It's last year all over again- the entry I will spend the most time on paired up with the Professor in top form ;)
That's a great scene all around, impressive painting and setting. :-*
-
I have noticed quite a few times the idea mooted that there should be a 'tie' button and while it is after all a vote and a civilized forum at that. To NOT vote seems like a cop out, yet some entried are quite knife-edge.
At the end of the day, both the Dr. and the Prof. contributed (like others) with great honour and skill.
Inspirational!

As everybody else mentioned already - two superb scenes in different styles of painting and setup. Beautiful stuff! :-* :o :-*

When I clicked on the page and saw the Cerci Speed pic, I thought "Ooh, definitely!"
Then I scrolled down, "Ah, bugger me!!"
Tough call.
-
Alex, fantastic stuff in this round. Great!
-
Thanks
Monolith Designs (the Yeti statue).
He's the star of the sho for me!
The first time I looked at photo for a couple of seconds I though the cave was a giant ape! :o lol

Two great entries, superbly done. A very difficult call, but eventually reality (well, almost..) always beats fantasy, as far as I am concerned...
-
Totally different but both are absolutely perfect. These choices are too hard for a Sunday. o_o
-
You monsters are making me choose between my love for anime / manga / Japanese video games and my love for classic pulp adventure ;)
And such top-quality paintjobs, terrain and staging, too.
-
Absolutely superb entries from both gentlemen.
-
Both entries are stunning
LPL at the top - it doesn't get any more competitive when there are 2 beauties like these around
Congratulations guys
-
Just a tough choice...both are so well done...
-
Well, I never thought that anything can make me want to paint (or touch) my RK stuff. But maaan those cerci figures look nice painted. :-* And the Bride conversion is pure gold.
Still that caravan is so well painted, and the pic's composition is really good. This is the hardest choice so far for me. Both entries are great.

Thanks! I know what you mean about the figures, they take a lot of work to clean and prep. The Royal Wrecker was one of my favorite concepts but is arguably the hardest to build model I've ever worked on.
The game is fun though and considering how long I had to wait for the Kickstarter to fulfill I was dead set on painting them ;)
