Title: Rocket ship from Denny's restaurant
Post by: Skrapwelder on December 30, 2006, 08:06:33 PM: I found this great cup on the kid's menu at Denny's with very little work it could make for a great Pulp era rocket ship.

I took a couple of photos and put them on my site.

Post by: Westfalia Chris on December 30, 2006, 10:39:10 PM: Aw man, we never get such useful stuff from our CrapFood(TM) restaurants... only stupid HotWheels(C) cars and Barbies etc. Although I remember building a Reaver Titan back in 2000 using two McDumbnuts´ Giveaway Drink Cups of hard plastic for the legs. Envy for the rocketship, though. I´d like some for US rocket corps guys to battle my Nazi Saucers...

Excellent! It sounds like it's time for me to call in 'The Favor'. As it turns out I don't have a Denny's nearby.

Judging from the other folks´ comments, this might be a blessing! ;)

But such promotional drinking vessels are getting few and far between - I recall there were quite some occasions back in the early to mid nineties, but today, all promo stuff is little toys, usually with a cinema theme. And if there´s a useful one, they don´t sell them to adults unless you bring kids along... ;) :(

I can also primer coat them white if you like--I have a can of Krylon for Plastics that I'm trying to use up.
