All,
I am in the early planning stages of a Texas Revolution era game. Planning Texians, Mexicans and Commanche at a Sword and Flame sort of level. I plan to use Boot Hill minis for the Texians, but I'm looking for less expensive alternatives for the "bad guys", ie Mexicans and Commanche. Since there are no photos, do you folks think the OG Plains Indians will work as Commanche? Also, how will OG match up with Boot Hill minis?

It really will depend on the individual figures. Some will and some won't depending on weapons and head dress. Sorry I can't be more definitive.

For size reference the Boot Hill figures are more or less the same height and bulk as Artizan figures and the later Foundry Old West figures. :)
I have some of the OG Plains Indians from the various packs in the War Paint range. In my opinion the quality of the sculpts varies considerably. Some of the personality types in war bonnetts etc that are one piece castings are quite good. The rank and file warriors who are two part castings imo are less so.
For Comanche, what about some of the Foundry Plains Indians. Specifically the ones stripped down to breech clout and musket/bow/lance. They are pretty generic and could pass for Comanche ignoring the ones wearing war bonnetts etc?
You could use the Boot Hill Mexicans instead of OG ;) :D
