Who will be the first person to recognise where my longhouse scene comes from?

My dreams of wanting being an amazing miniature painter.....?
 :D

If someone doesn't mind, where did the buildings in the Arkham entry come from?

There have been some seriously tough choices this Round.

Ditto, those civvies look like they will work well in a lot of genres.

If you mean the viking civilians, they are from Dixon miniatures believe it or not.

(except for the girl on the left. she is from wargames foundry)
They are from the same series as the viking plunderers i used in round 2.

Hi All,

First, great work Steam Flunky - I really like the pattern details in the clothes.

In regards to the buildings in my entry, they are from Kobblestone Miniatures.

Here is a link to my review of them that I posted a few years ago:

And, again, them used for my Great War in Greyscale project:

Cheers,

Curt

Thanks Curt. Your entry is unfortunately also getting me closer to ordering cthulu cultist type figures  :( I promised myself not to start somthing new.

I am amazed that no one has recognized where my scene comes from! I thought with the success of SAGA that lots of gamers would have seen the Angus McBride pictures in the Osprey Vikings book-

The two other women in the picture are not made by Dixon so i added the Foundry girl to make up the five.

Excellent entries both! Good stuff :) I appreciate the quality and subject matter of both!

So, does the miniature company have to pay royalties for using inspiration from images straight out of the old Osprey viking book or what?!? You've done an excellent job recreating the scene!

Thanks
n.
