Greetings,
I am a long time LAF lurker turned newbie.
Had this one sitting around for a while so thought it would be a good first post seeing as the GW HE were my first miniature army (and are still not painted ::))
Hope it displays ok.
Here goes nothing......

That's really nice!
I love the burgundy/gold/cream combination on his clothes and armour, and the inside of the cloak is perfect for an elf! Great paintjob!
-
Nicely done! The cloak is outstanding. Looking forward to more posts. :)

Nice Job!!

Nice! That paintjob just feels... right. The inside of the cloak, the sheen effect on the blade and the colour choices overall are perfect.
Always loved this figure, BTW. Originally a White Dwarf freebie (around the time Mordheim was first released), wasn't it? I'm still unhappy I never got one :'(

welcome aboard, lovely painting, the inside of the cloak is inspired

That is a SPLENDID introduction...WELCOME ABOARD!
Your take on Aenur is EXCELLENT; the cape is particularly striking. GREAT WORK!

It did come with a White Dwarf issue, but I think that it was sold as well. Aenur, Sword of Twilight. There's usually a good few on eBay at any given time.

Nicely done, and welcome in from the coldness of lurkingdom
Post more stuff please :D

Nice work, I like the way you put the curve into the sword.
I always struggle highlighting metal.

Thank you all for the warm welcome and very kind comments.
It is indeed the Aenur, sword of twilight mordheim character. I only ever played a couple of games of mordheim but really liked the way it played and always wanted one of these. My brother picked this one up on ebay for me along with a load of 90s era dragon knights which I must get started on one of these days.
So much lead, so little time ::)
Thanks again.
I will try to get some more photos up this weekend

Well apologies for the delay in posting anything else. I'm going to crack on with painting some elves directly. In the meantime, here's a few pictures of the start of my warmachine hordes Skorne army.
The Edward scissor hands lookalike is a general type character called Morghoul and the big fella is a skorne titan gladiator. He was christened Derek in his first outing playing against my friends Pete and Andy. I don't normally go in for the gore effects but it fits with the feel of the Skorne and I wanted to experiment a bit.
Hope you like them.
Cheers
