Some recently re-based minis from my current sci-fi project.
-
Were you trying to amalgamate Jerry Cornelius and Jimmy Savile into one decidedly unwholesome-looking character? :P
Seriously though, great paintjobs and fun theme! Wish I had that figure in the centre.
-
Jeeze I wanted him to look evil but not that evil! More like a poncy pan-galactic art thief!!
-
Haha. Those are great! Has the hair on the marine been added to? It just seems to be 'bigger' than I remember. The colours are fantastic. I've got some marines that I want to use as mercenaries and this has given me some great food for thought. Great stuff!

What you have achieved is sheer diabolical disgusting artistic genius. Revel in your madness, I say, as I have not seen such since Archive Miniatures issued a 28mm figure of "Ayatollah Khomeni, Evil High Priest" over 30 years ago... lol

Yeah that fellow is Brother Quiff with a bit of extra added volume to his coiffure. Marines had so much more style back in the day! :)

Haha can I quote you on that ;)

Those are terrific fun. Love 'em.
-
A terrific technicolour trio and soooo Rogue Tradery it hurts! Love 'em all! :D
Now hurry up and finish Foxy Nova! ;)
-
Nice painting - the off white in the stripes is effective in making them pop.
-
Cheers! I've just attempted to colour balance the picture a bit. It looked fine on my laptop but overly bright on my monitor and phone. Maybe my laptop screen need calibrating? New lighting set-up and I'm just hoping for the best with the pictures!

70's porn star space marine in pink camo armour - Brilliant!
-
Great stuff!! :)
-
That's wonderful! Disgustingly wonderful
-
I like them all but I like Brother Prince ;)of the Purple Rain Space Marine chapter the best
great stuff

I simply adore the mix of old retro bright colours with yet an attention to not making them clash. The weathering on top of an already sublime painting is icing on the cake.

Yeah... he looks pretty darn evil. The eyes mostly. Great job!

Thanks for the comments! Here's a new pic of a couple more re-based minis and a newly painted marine. People of a certain "vintage" may well recognise classic Citadel Gronk. Such a cool little mini. I tried to capture that worried look he often had! Next to him is marine Dmitri "Double D" Dorokov. Finally a reaper bot conversion.

Excellent 8) 8) 8)

The Gronk is so happy with his paint job. Oh yes he is.
That Space Marine looks fantastic. He has a classic sci-fi paperback cover look that works so well with the older Citadel minis.
The robot, now that's just cool. What did you use for this conversion?
-
The robot got a head swap. The one he came with was fairly small so I swapped it for something in the bits pile. Think the current one is a GZG 6mm comms bubble that came in a pack of conversion bits. :)
-
More amazing characters! Hurrah! lol
Gronk looks traumatised and I absolutely love that robot. 8) Great painting sir, great painting.
Now, about Foxy Nova… ;)
