When I read about this society in "The Devils Workshop" by Alex Grecian I immediately decided I would have to paint up my own small band of members. If you have read the book you will know about this select group of individuals and if you have not it is a fantastic premise which, as is nearly always the case, is not quite matched by the execution but still well worth a read.

I will be adding new additions as time allows but based on how long it took to get started I would expect an update in about six months or so.

Glad I'm not the only one.  :D

Of course, finding the term's definition was the hardest part.  :o

Always so tantalizingly close. 'Oh, I know German when I see it; now I'm SURE I can remember where karst fits into geologic terms...'

Do you have an idea how many will be in your 'small band?'

I would really like to see an IHMN version!

Cheers Men.  I was obviously aware that I was being rather vague about the word karstphanomen but I did not want to post a spoiler for anyone who may read the book in the future.

How many?  Very loose idea, it will certainly be something like an IHMN or EotD type squad, but I shall just add new members when I see suitable figures.  There are loads in the lead pile already but I also have to fight good old father time.

Understood completely! Finding was a fun romp! Hope it's not a spoiler to say I was thinking of a recently-watched episode of 'New Tricks' near the end.   lol

I will hope for inspiration to convert to IHMN stats. Definitely check back in six months!  ;D

Just finished the latest in the series "The Harvest Man". Interesting read, the books definitely get better as they go.

"Karstphanomen" sounds like ghostbusters to me. I too must get my hands on these books!

Thanks for the lead on a possible new read.  It sounds more plausible than some of the historical fiction I've been reading (Mark Chadbourn's Swords of Albion and Susanna Clark's Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell) but sounds interesting.  Nice looking model.
