Title: VSF Flyers (pic heavy)
Post by: Governor General on June 11, 2015, 04:50:43 PM
My VSF helicopter. This is a converted toy from the movie Chicken Run, although it looks nothing like the flying machine in the film. I did a slight repaint then added the gatling gun, the rotar gears and the panzerfausts. I was always going to add rocket tubes but Wild Bill's "rocket zouave" reminded me I had a couple of tank busters in the bits box. When this toy came out I knew I would find a use for it, I waited for it to on sale and pounced. The pilot is from Artizan Designs.

Repainted 1:72 scale Wright flyers. These were deceptively hard to paint. Getting a brush through the wing struts was a real pain. I added rocket tubes to the sides to give the planes some offensive capability. The tubes are drink stirrers. The small pilot is a 25 mm ACW limber rider maybe from MiniFigs. The other pilot is a plastic bulldozer driver off a toy, probably 28mm.

Upon seeing that pilot, my first question was "where's Muttley?" Then I began to wonder what the Pigeon was doing.
