Love the females and Mecha, love the adventurers too (and what a great photograph!) - tough choice o_o o_o o_o

Wow Alex, that's a fantastic scene. Very well done! Usually I can pick out your entries without having to peek at the names, but this time you had me fooled. Thought it was Adm Benbow's. :D This is my favourite vignette from this LPL.

Beautiful photo Alex :-*
That walker is excellent Chambers, and the muted reds and greens look superb :-*
-
Both wonderful!

Alex: just B E A U T I F U L ! :-* :o :-*
Chamber's setup and painting is gorgeous, but against the Prof's scene ...
-
Both great but that pic from the Prof is beautiful :-*

:o :-*
Chambers, great entry! And I like to read a few words about the how-to of that rusty mech.
Prof, this is really amazing. Though the figures should have been a little closer - or bigger - for my taste, the scene is awesome.
And I like to emphasize, that is is extra awesome that You made such a dark picture, yet it still is the shows-off.
Both superb, thanks for that!

Thanks DK, I just got back in town tonight. The weathering was done using the salt technique. Prime with browns and oranges, semi gloss sealant, damp the model with water, sprinkle on salt. Then I sprayed on green and subsequent layers adding tan with an airbrush. Brush off the salt, leaving brown chips behind. Seal again, using thinned down oil paint, I defined the shadows in the crevasses. Hope that helps.
