Title: IHMN Gothic
Post by: Craig on July 12, 2015, 08:25:45 AM

I know there are quite a few of you who are feeling that Daishō is getting all the love :) Well fear not for we have not forgotten Gothic.

With Osprey not interested in publishing a fourth IHMN book we have chosen to take this task on ourselves.

The Ministry of Gentlemanly Warfare's current schedule runs thusly:
1. Promote Daishō and thus make enough money to fund the other projects.
2. Finish writing Blood eagle by summer's end, then playtest through the autumn for an early 2016 release.
3. Finish writing IHMN Gothic through the autumn for an early 2016 release.

Please remember we are just two gentlemen with demanding full-time jobs who do this for the love of it, not necessarily for the money.

Given the quality and thoroughness of the work you and Charles do, I am quite content to wait for that fruit to ripen.

I do hope, though, that maybe you could slip us a little Gothic teaser, say a new scenario or new company, around Halloween?

Being honest, I hope you change 2 and 3. Another Dark Age Skirmish? Hmmm, not really. IHMN Gothic is better. It fits well in the releases so far. But onl my opinion, I think

Slightly off-topic perhaps but can someone enlighten me about this Blood Eagle?  :?
My googling resulted in just rather detailed descriptions of a particular torture method, which I find somewhat unnecessary at the moment.

Just as Daisho has taken our IHMN core rules into medieval Japan, Blood Eagle will open up the 8th-9th centuries in Northern Europe. Vikings :D

I've said it elsewhere but this can't come soon enough for me!  :D

One question for Craig concerning both Daisho and Blood Eagle. Can I assume that the 'companies' or however the factions are described are compatible (of similar size and composition) to those boxed sets created for respectively Ronin (Northstar) and Saga (Gripping Beast). If so, that would be very attractive to those of us who have already invested in the genre.

I have a tin full of out of work Jomsvikings that really need some serious bloodletting!

If this keeps up, you guys will have made rules for any setting and era I'd want or need to play in.  ;D
So basically keep it up please!

Although not intentionally so, most probably. And there shall indeed be Jomsvikings, how could there not be?
