I've repeatedly found myself referred here by blogs and goggle searches over the years and after a hiatus decided I wanted to spend some time exploring more story driven offerings and ranges of miniatures that I have overlooked in the past. I have always been stricken by the wonderful narratives and imagination demonstrated on your forums and decided I would like to be part of that; If you will have me.
I have been a painter/modeller primarily but a pretty sorry war gamer; The systems I was familar with were involved large engagements and painting the same thing over and over again is very boring. At the moment I'm most interested in Frostgrave and post apocalyptic/zombie settings and have started planning terrain for use in both genres. If I actually finish either of this projects (even temporarily because project never finish) I'd like to try my hand at something like Strange Aeons or superheroes.

Welcome to LAF horridperson.
For zombie games, ZOMBICIDE has proven really popular lately.
There are a lot of pics and AARs over the forum.
May you have a long and merry stay with us.

Welcome aboard

Thanks to all for the warm welcome :).
@magokiron,
Zombicide models looked very good for cheap plastics and coming across cheap modern zombie models seem to be a bit of a hassle any way you cut it. I managed to Kijiji a complete starter for $75cdn complete and in a fancy plano trunk. There isn't much variation among the models but they look sharp so I started painting them up.
