The "bersagliere" Delfino Borroni, the last italian WWI veteran, passed away at the age of 110.

The one unobvious thing that comes from Forums like this one, is that at least these guys, regardless of nationality, don't pass un-noticed or unacknowledged, which largely seems to be the case in the wider world.
