Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone has bought and painted any Radio DishDash figures? I'm wondering what the quality is like compared to other manufacturers like Empress Minis as I have heaps of them. Their kickstarter looks good so I was just wondering how they stack up
Cheers!

The Taliban and Aussies are sculpted by ebob, so they are pretty dang good. The Rangers and Deltas look the same in the flesh as they do in the renders. As to casting quality, I would say they are on par if not better than empress as their molds are newer.

I have the Aussies and they are lovely castings!
-
Thanks guys! Now to back the kickstarter
-
I've already done it myself and I previously had no interest in gaming anything during the 1990's haha.
-
Yeh me neither haha. They just look cool to paint
-
Have got a link to the kickstarter?

Just for the record Empress moulds are constantly renewed to ensure that quality does not deteriorate. ::)
If you want to sample some Dish Dash figures then we have just announced a sale so you could get some samples.

Paul, I meant no disrespect. I love your minis and I have yet to get a single one (Out of over 100) that had poor casting quality. I just assumed that there had been a little wear on your older molds when compared to the Dish Dash molds as they are practically brand new. I hope my comment did not come across wrong. :?

Sounds good. Would be more than happy to see a Empress modern figure sale too haha. Easily my favourite 28mm figures

Damn it. I didn't want to buy anything this month. Thank you Empress! At least I'll see for myself how good the figures are when my dozen New Zealanders arrive. Since I was ordering I had to pick up those western looking insurgents I've been after too.

Not to be a jerk ... I was underwhelmed by the quality of the RDD Taliban ... I found them to be thin and the detail not very crisp. They are a little smaller than Empress as well (which I have a bunch of). That being said, they are certainly not "bad" quality, just not up to par with Empress or Eureka IMO (again, to be clear, I only have their Taliban models).

Any one pick up their Black Down Americans at Historicon?
Their kickstarter looks interesting.
They don't have them for sell on their web site.
-
I did - please forgive any inaccuracies as this is my first modern paintjob.

Ah awesome its good to see some in the flesh! Camo looks good, from what I've seen in the pictures the body armour is black but it makes no difference really. I'm particularly impressed with those shoulder flag patches! :)

Disregard the black comment I'm wrong!

muggings,
Thanks for the photos.
Nice painting.
If I may suggest,
a little dry brushing on their vests would make them stand out.
