Recently picked up some Empire State Troops because they were marked down and I thought they might be useful for Frostgrave. Unfortunately, as I have not bought any GW product recently (other than Black Reach cultists which were surprisingly non-scale creep-y for a GW product), I was not prepared for when I opened the box and saw how chunky these guys are. The heads are HUGE.
My problem is, I don't really have anything to replace them with, because I'm not a big fan of how cartoony the faces and giant oversize hats/feathers are. Do the Fireforge kits come with a good amount of extra heads, and are they a good match sizewise? Any other suggestions metal, plastic, or other?

Well, I have these sallet helmet heads, designed for my goblins but work equally well as humans:

Here are a couple pictures I took with the recent plastics (you do have to build up the neck with these):

Here's a picture where someone used them to convert the old GW war wagon crew:

Forgot to add, you do have to build up the neck with a touch of putty, as the GW heads come with neck stumps and mine come with a recess.

Mirliton have some basinet and sallet helmeted heads that scale well:

Also, I think the Perry heads (either these (https://www.perry-miniatures.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=heads&search_in_description=1&osCsid=ocrfl1vuu7idov5rs7n2c15lt5&x=0&y=0) or those from their plastic kits) scale fairly well:

Wow, the Perry heads scale surprisingly well, and I've bought one of every medieval plastic box they've made so I might even be set as far as number of heads goes. lol

Note that in the picture they are plastic Perry heads (not sure if that will matter, as the Perry metal heads are designed to fit their own figures anyway...)

Those pics of the warwagon crew above are mine, and I have to say WK's sallet heads are the DB's, despite the extra effort needed to build up the necks (which I am not very good at. :) ). Definitely recommended.
