Title: [KICKSTARTER] Macrocosm: The Next Races - Now Running
Post by: Giger on August 27, 2015, 12:22:18 PM
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2076383099/macrocosm-the-next-races

Macrocosm are running a Kickstarter for their next two factions; The 3rd Race and the Grem Alliance.  If the finished sculpts are anything like the current Malignancy and Digger factions their going to be belting, a great mix of modern standards yet with an old school aesthetic.

I like the look of those 3rd Race suits... but the Grem just look like... well goblins.

With 48hrs left to run on this KS, has anyone here pledged yet?

Further, has anyone played the game with the races that were available before the KS? If so, was it any good?

Looks suitably old-school, and I'm somewhat tempted... But after backing other miniatures KS in the past, I though I'd ask here first!  :P

I've not played the game but I have bought all the Malignancy miniatures to use as a Genestealer Cult, they are fine sculpts and nicely cast.

I might go in for the Malignancy minis. They hit the genestealer cult right on the nail. Not hugely struck by the others.

I really want to go in for the Malignancy stuff, its just a matter of justifying the funds.  8)

I find it a bit funny though that they haven't referenced the "tick" minis as coming from hasslefree, among lots of other minis. Although HFminis are promoting it on their FB page.
I do really like those minis though. Great Genestealer Cult proxies.

 Only 3 hours to go.

Great to see the Sci-Fi Elf Dino riders unlocked.Exodites were a great idea which was never followed up.Will be good to see what Chris has planned next for them.

Yeah I found that quite odd as well - I even thought that they'd blatantly stolen the models from HF and then recast them as their own. That was until I checked the HF site and saw that those great models were missing from their catalogue.

So, after my initial impressions I still have to say that those other models are still rather great in the vibe that they give me and I might even pick some up. But I'm also eyeing the Mantic kickstarter as well...!

So they are. Didn't even see at. Glad I picked some up. The big guys are awesome minis. I haven't put the smaller ones together. I always anted to use the big guys in some sort of titanic battle in a 6mm city or even smaller battling some sort of big bots.
