Title: The Fearless Vampire Killers
Post by: Ballardian on September 29, 2015, 02:23:45 PM
Vesper On Games (Carnivale) have (or are about to) release a very nice 'not' Profesor Abronsius & his servant Alfred from Polanski's 'The Fearless Vampire Killers'.

Great looking stuff!  I'm not familiar with Vesper on Games (Carnivale) as a manufacturer.  Are they located in the U.S. or the UK?  If I was looking for them would I look for Profesor Abronsius and Alfred... are they sold as a pair?  Do you know the price?  They look good.  Thanks for sharing.

€15 the pair.

Masquerade Miniaturen used to make versions of Professor Abronsius and Alfred that were rather better likenesses than these seem to be from the photo, but I believe those are long OOP.

Yes they were lovely figures, but these have a certain style about them. A great film as well :)

I love Vesper concepts and the idea of their miniatures, but I must warn you: Their miniatures are so so  :-[

Maybe I was unlucky, but a few months ago I bought a pack of Vesper miniatures from a guy who had participated in the kickstarter that they launched. And I'm frankly dissapointed. Their miniatures have a lack of details that the photos don't shown, some of them have strange anatomic positions, their arms are too long and thiny and they "abuse" of the multi-parts (for example, for the proffesor you have to pin dow the head, the hands, the legs ...).

All in all I wouldn't recommend them unless you can see the miniature in your local game store.

Any chance they are going to add some of the others from the film?  The vampire court at the end of the film were stylish and eerie more like old world nobility than Ferdie Mayne's count.  I love to see some of those.

Cool! Great figures, will need to get these! In agreement on the Aristocratic Vampires. Love that dance scene...
