Title: More home made ruins.
Post by: Fencing Frog on October 12, 2015, 11:50:24 AM
I built two more ruins for Frostgrave, learned a lot from my first effort and think these came out rather well. Photos (on my blog) walk you though my steps in building them.  I designed them to fit together but they can be broken up too.

Very interesting technique for stone buildings. Don't think I have seen that before. I think I would try to find some sort of liquid filler to pour between the rocks to make them look a bit more mortared in, but even without that its still a very effective look.

Never seen that before.

Do you just poor the gravel on the glue, or do you manualy place them?

Manually placed them I did my best to fit them in tightly like they would a stone wall.

Seems rather time consuming. Looks purdy though.

one for the files.

Its wasn't too bad the biggest time suck is waiting for the glue to dry.
