Soon I should receive 4 iron klaw space pirates and one citadel squat, spoil of a small swap I've done. Then I started to consider how use these miniatures, my initial idea was to paint them as cultists for my genestealer cult, but after a while I considered to create a small sensei warband too. I still had an incomplete chaos champion and it seem to be fine for a small conversion. Here what I've done. I was ispired to the classic citadel sensei miniature and later I find it fine as a Rogue trader version of the Blizzard Diablo: Archangel Tyrael. I'm not still sure if this will be the final version.

That looks amazing; I like the combination of off-white and blue, and the model is appropriately monkish and sinister.

Lovely painting as always. He really has a heavenly look to him.

Here I've painted my first eldar. Yes I never painted one, the two I painted when I was a teenager don't count. ;)
It will be one of the followers for my sensei warband. What do you think? I painted it with a biel-tan paint scheme. The white on the armor was really boring, if I will paint more eldars I will probably use a yellow (void watchers) or blue/yellow armor paint scheme.

Very nice 8)

Lovely. The Sensei is quiet a clever use of the original mini and bits. About the Elda, I love it, the pose is great and I find your colours far from boring. The nice thing about Biel Tan is that you can add some rose thorns and stuff to that white so you break the monotony. Just an idea.
Great work. :)

I Like Tyrael!! :-* :-* :-*
Was much GS involved? Nice shading too.

Lovely work, and love the classic bases :)

Here the next follower for my sensei warband: a Redeemed Thousand Sons Chaos Renegade. I always liked the Thousand Sons background (in fact I will paint a Thousand Sons warband too). The Thousand Sons Chaos Renegade have seen the light of the Star child and now help the sensei. He repainted his armour with pre-heresy Thousand Sons paint scheme.
I'm considering if do some changes to the eldar paint scheme. He seem a common clean craftworld eldar than a rogue eldar that joined a sensei warband. However I'm not still sure about the changes to do. Maybe I should choose another eldar miniature too.

and cut off his mutated leg and replaced it with a bionic.
It's incredible how well those early 40k minis stand up today especially with a quality paint job.

Lovely paintwork.
:-*
I shall be following this thread to steal ideas for inspiration having just started out on an Inquisimunda campaign myself.
:D

Thanks. :D
Here an updated paint scheme for the eldar. I copied the Star Wars Mandalorian "Jodo Kast" paint scheme, so I saved some original colors ;)
-
Top work. :) The new scheme on the eldar looks the business.
-
The new scheme looks very smooth.
I like it!
:-*
And I sympathise with the comment on the white.
I have also used a bit of white on Eldar in the past and it is a bit of a pain to do.

Here the "Black Widow" :D
-
Here another miniature I painted for the sensei warband. I could nickname him "Starlord" ;)
-
Splendid painting, as always. It's a conversion or an original miniature?

It's an original miniature, when I saw it I thought about the marvel comics Starlord character ;)

A Squat join the sensei warband :D
Now the warband should be complete :)
I think I will use Natalia for another warband.
