Got the Stuka finished in about 10 days! It will participate in a 1939 Polish invasion game tomorrow evening. This is another scratch build model with plans taken from Solid Model Memories:

It's fantastic :-*
BUT! You need to cover the tail swastika if you post the pics here (it's the law you know)

Oops! This should be less offensive:

WoW!!! :-*

Thats brilliant :o :-* :o :-*

Bloody amazing. Now youŽll need a 1/56th Radar station for the Stuka to attack. ;)
-
:o I can;t wait to see this thing to night. As for the radar station, I can't have that built in time lol John will have to settle for his choice of a Soviet horde or plucky Poles.
How many LAF'ers does is take to make an official LAF gathering?

None. "Official" is for the brainwashed, yet otherwise unwashed GW fanboy crowds. lol
-
Another great job! Are you hand sanding these?
-
Absolutely stunning!
I wouldn't even know where to begin.
If i had half your talent I'd scratchbuilt all those Breguet XIXs and Nieuport 52s' myself.

Great work John! 8)

You are very gifted - no way could I carve something out of wood like that. Well done and I'm very jealous
-
Another great job! Are you hand sanding these?
Yes, files and sandpaper. The above link to solidmodelmemories has a downloadable set of instruction published by US govt to make the observation models - these are very good instructions - I would encourage anyone with the free time to try their hand at it. It certainly is easier to buy a plastic kit in 1/48th, but I'm one of those fanatics who believes 1/56th scale is best for 28mm...

I know this one! Err... Two. One to screw in the lightbulb and one to shriek 'Fabulous!'

There were two LAFers presentat at last nights game. No light bulbs were changed lol, but a good time was had by all.
The photos do not do justice to this model. And it performed admirably in its wargaming debut, but as its Johnnytodd's model, he should tell the story. :D

John you never cease to amaze me !! :-*
Please let me cast one!!!! :o

You're not the only one...

For the sake of all the rest of us: would you PLEASE STOP making these!
(I'm about to commit seppuku...)
Absolutely stunning, now what about a 1/60 scale Japanese Pearl Harbor strike force?... (just an idea...)
