Would converting a Ma.K be suitable painted with fitting insignia?
Would I be correct in assuming that World War 1 Halflings, Goblins and Dwarves (an established theme for which several manufacturers make miniatures) are more of an "Other Adventures" thing and therefore would not qualify for this contest?

Sorry for that.
That's alright, I was assuming for that to be the case anyway and just wanted to make sure.
Okay, then I'm going to start off with the first entry. A nice opportunity to continue with my "Projekt X" project which grinded to a halt many years ago.Super! Great job.
#001 Gepanzerter Krieger, Modell Hammerfels (Projekt X, North Star)
It's more of a "Fantasy Great War", i.e. a Fantasy setting styled to resemble WW1, so it's another area where there's some overlap. ... Sorry for that.
Question to the mods: How inclusive do you see the Weird Wars theme? I have a couple of WW1 Goblins and Halflings from Black Hat; would those be weird enough?
Love that face - lucky we have a four day weekend (most of us in Mlebourne anyway), right?
That brill Alex 8) 8)
Great paintjob. She must be one hell of a tough lady, though. Nazi-occupied Brobdingnag is not an easy posting! ;)
Super, Alex! You seem to be in painting mood ... 8)
Please see the first page, we had that discussion there. Short version, WWx-flavoured Fantasy is out for this club.
He's nice!No he is not. He is quit testy, actually. Put him before a PzKpfw IV and you will see.
That is brilliant, Peder!
So, almost 25% through and I'm not even painting my figure yet :?
Totenmeister and Steel Mask - both looking good!!
Very nice work ladies and gentlemen. Freelancer, is "hades lad" what your Hellboy figure is describe as on Hasslefrees site? It looks cool and and wanted one for myself, but couldn't find it.

Are you allowed to post twice in the club? If not I'll delete this and put it in my earlier entry.i think you are allowed to post as many as you want. When did you get the crooked dice villains?
#40 Oberleutnant Hund

He's a big doggie. I believe he's West Wind. Part of their Secrets of the Third Reich line. I've tried to add drool to his fangs using Bostick glue and a pin to drag it from tooth to tooth.
i think you are allowed to post as many as you want. When did you get the crooked dice villains?

Cool! 8) Where's the Autogyro from?
#047 Karl, Leibwächter, Personenschutz (Götterdämmerung, Monolith Designs, 40mm)Love the shading and highlighting on all that skin. Really makes the figure!
Say, Prof, are there more photos online anywhere of the terrain/scenery you've been using as backdrops in your photos in this thread?
No. 51 British Zombie Hunter 1 - Projekt X by Scarab Miniatures
We released this figure (and his team mate - which I am just finishing off) some time ago, but I had never got round to painting either - so job finally done. I may retake the photo though.
Once No.2 is finished I will get the American Sarge painted and those PX figs of Profs will have some opposition! :D
#052. Rasputin, Project Ragna Rok (Monolith Designs, 40mm)
About time that I put some paint on these figures, I have had them long enough.
Maybe this Club will encourage me to finally complete the Mad Monk and his entourage.
Brilliant work all!
Snappy, did von Shreckenhammer find green Kryptonite or The Locknar?
Great shot, Alex.
It really gives the right feel.

Nice touch with the more 'green' aspect to the beastie too.
:)
Superb staging, once again Alex :-* :-* :-*

#61 Union Jack (Grindhouse Games)
Very nice! But I think the numbering is a bit out of whack now.

The Hammer, another of Rasputin's 'children' from Projekt Ragna Rok.
Nice one Paul.
And I do love those Artizan Nacht Jaeger miniatures.
Lovely figure Za. Who makes Bam-Bam?
White Knight (of LAF fame - but I am uncertain whether the model is still available).
Nice one Prof.
They are really good Prof, lovely brush work , I should have bought some of those myself when they were out although I did manage to locate a clix or some sort of pre painted set of Hellboy and the gang - still in the box though! :D
Great brushwork Alex on a fave character of mine(him and Lobster Johnson)!
Thank you, yes, the Heroclix ones are nice too, have painted them ages ago. Though Heroclix Hellboy is a bit too slender for my taste:
Cool figure fiona! Any chance we can have another photo please to see your awesome brush work.
Looks like the auto focus was the problem? The backdrop is certainly nice and sharp.
Perhaps the figure was too close to the camera to focus on? Moving back a little further (15cm?) might help, you can always crop the image before posting on the net.
Cheers
Matt
Great new entries.

All these Hellboy figures that you are posting, Alex, they keep reminding me that there are a few gaps in my collection.
I reckon that I should be able to squeeze something else in before this club finishes......we shall see.
::)

Artizan figure with a West Wind head
(http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o102/grabthar_2006/P1000743_zpspcbuzk00.jpg)
That's a great picture :-*
That's a fantastic picture! :o I can almost feeeel the heat and the dust in that photo! Any tips how it was achieved?
That is a stunning picture. Is it taken outside, in the backyard?
Cheers
the photo was achieved by pure dumb luck. It was taken indoors with natural light behind it with my cheapo painting light off to the right. That's a fantastic effect you've got there, the model looks fantastic as well, excellent conversion work.
#82 Mao, Dreaded Red Hands of the People's RepublicReally like the colour scheme on that Mao model as well.

Random miniature I found in a box. The first miniature I have painted in ages. ::)
Love him Alex. He looks so sad and lonely lol
I think you will largely be responsible in person for filling up this particular painting club... :)
He's got such a agreeable face....
For a zombie, I mean. ;)
Your brilliant fluff cause a tiny spark in the whereabouts of my cortext where the Kennel Club of Monimasket sits. I think it is about fucking time they accept some new members!
Well done Prof. another beauty. I wonder what the next painting club will be? ??? Maybe it's time for the Fantasy Painting Club?
And I'm afraid it won't be Fantasy
Do you have to make a request before you post? Or can you just go for it
And that's it for another painting club. I'll leave the topic open for a couple of days, but any further entries will be removed.
Thanks to all participants!
