Finished four more zeds (of course there needs to be a strand of static grass on the first one, invisible until after the pictures... >:( Well, no big deal, I'll take new ones when the horde is completed anyway).
Zombies are Spyglass. The two on the right got a West Wind headswap.

I'm juuuust about to plunge myself into some WWW. Just need a handful of weird stuff to throw in (have purchased some prepainted Germs and Ruskis).

These had been sitting on my painting desk for ages while I continued with other projects and finally managed to finish them. 4 german bomb zombies by West Wind.

Nice! Your WWW2 project just keeps getting better and better! By chance, my copy of the Secrets of the Third Reick rulebook arrived yesterday, although I haven't had a real chance to go through it yet. The arrival of the book, combined with the motivation provided by your great threads, is not a bad way to start into WWW2!
As always, looking forward to more!
p.s. I love your basing - very nice. In particular, I like the way that the dirt spills over the edges, linking the model to the battlefield, in a way. Excellent!

If you like those bomb zombies, check out the Bomberzombies for Incursion:

Nothing like having a naval mine stuck in your abdomen...

Well, where ELSE would a navel bomb go, other than in your abdomen? Oh, wait, NAVAL. Sorry, my bad...
-
love the spyglass zombies! im not keen on the westwind zombies as sculpts, but you have painted them nicely! have you tried the east riding zombies? they are fab
-
I ave ALL the WW2 zombies from West Wind, Incursion, Spyglass, Brigade Games, Blue Moon and East Riding Miniatures. Nothing like a big horde made from all unique models. ;)
-
Do they mix well? I've heard that the Incursion and Blue Moon are taller.
-
I'll check later today, but I can say now that the Blue Moon WW2 zombies appear to be smaller than their other ranges. See the zombie churchill and roosevelt in my WW2 civilian zombies thread.
-
Very nice :D :D :D

I can't speak to the others, but the WW and Incursion minis do mix well size-wise.

I'll take a side-by-side picture tomorrow if I remember. ;)
-
Well, no comparison picture yet as I'm in the middle of painting the blue moon zombies, so will take a picture when they're done.
Meanwhile, here's two Incursion zombies I finished yesterday. One German, one British.

ooo!!! i like these 2!! very snazzy

Really? I think the highlights on the german one are too strong and on the british one they are too weak. lol

You could add more hightlights to the British one but its not really nesscary. The German's uniform is too light and I don't understand why the gas mask isn't black. But the flesh colored mask is very scary. >:D
-
I disagree on the German uniform. I happen to have a German uniform in my closet (reenacting purposes, don't anybody go out and accuse Doc of consorting with the Hilterites!), and the button up shirt worn under the coat is almost precisely in that shade, even fading in the same areas. The pants are fine, too.
You have to remember that there is no "Standard" shade for Feldgrau. Companies produced a bewildering variety of colors - from very dark, dark green to almost grey, even fairly early in the war. That's what happens with different dye lots, materials, etc.
And if you're still worried about it being lighter, consider that this is a dead man, who was probably covered with dirt, or at least laying in a ditch somewhere, when he was given a dose of the "up and at 'em" juice.
The British uniform looks just fine to me too.

Indeed, just look at Valkyrie for some faded uniforms. With this one however it bothered me that it's not a proper tunic. There are no pockets, no shoulderstraps, nothing. So looks more like either a civilian jacket or a shirt. so I painted it lighter than the trousers, so it might pass for a shirt that was worn under the discarded tunic.
-
Don't look at Valkyrie. I know we're all starved for new WW2 films but... :-X

Actually, I suspect that might have been the sculptor's intention. There's a button up shirt worn under the tunic in for most of the war. A lot like a civilian shirt, but with a much longer tail. I think you could probably pass it off as that.

Yes I think it is intended to be the under shirt and not the tunic. But I think the shirt collar is wrong.
-
That's possible, I have no idea what colour the shirt is supposed to be.
However, as this is an alternative timeline, I'm not too bothered about historical accuracy. Who's to say a world that has zombies, werewolves, vampires, robots and giant walkers can't have shirts that are a different colour too? ;)
-
Hey WK
I think you are suffering from what we all get when looking at our minis
they look great to me :-*

I agree. It is about what "feels" right for the game.

Finally managed to finish something: the Blue Moon German zombies. Göring, Hitler, Rommel and Himmler. Hitler and Rommel are my favorites from this lot, though they're all good.

Love the pose on the Hitler one. It's a zoom-bai.
-
Very nice they are from the world leaders set aren't they?
-
Yes, indeed. ;)
-
Superb!, nice painting!.
-
Tin Tin and Himmler hand in hand, you are an evil man.

lol
