Title: [COMMERCIAL] Khurasan releases 22nd Century Range
Post by: Khurasan Miniatures on November 20, 2015, 06:31:11 PM
We are very pleased to release the first faction of our 22nd century range, the Jong-PAC, the combine of Asian powers.  They are available now, here:

The first three codes available are Jong-PAC riflemen:

The United Systems Marine Corps and the alien Acarines will be released next.  Thanks.

Those are very nice. Will the other factions have drone support as well?

Nice! And I love the fact that the United Systems Marine Corps and the alien Acarines are based on "Space Above and Beyond"!   :o

Ahhh - Chigs!

Good catch. Totally missed it, but now that you say it...

The USMC has one as well.  The Acarines, being alien, aren't quite as onboard but from a tactical perspective they've come to a roughly similar conclusion.  They use a vehicle with a crew of two but it's layout isn't too dissimilar to an earth heavy droid.

Thanks for the reply. I need some of those drones, but I'll wait to see what other flavors pop up.

The drone does look ubiquitous enough to be of use. Declaring it's dimensions wouldn't go far amiss however, despite the pic on the site alongside the troopers.

Looking great mate, but what ever happened to releasing this range in 20mm?  :(

Lack of interest.

By the way, they're not meant to be drones (although of course people can use them however they want!).  They are meant to be robot tanks -- droids.  Tanks already have more and more functions performed by computers and soon by robots, so it's just a matter of time.  Drones I think of as remotely piloted, and my suspicion is EW will make drone use a tricky prospect in the future, so the weapons system will have to think more for itself.

But as I said, whatever floats the gamer's boat!  :-)

Good point. I use things like them in my games more as mobile support weapon platforms. Come to think of it, they are more autonomous than remotely piloted or crew served. I don't know how far or realistically I want to chase the EW/CM/CCM/ loop in my toy soldier games.

Expected release for the other factions/droids?

Very soon for the USMC and the Acarine infantry, the Acarine support vehicle next year.
