The Osprey website currently has the Dragon Rampant pre-order at almost 30% discount.
Buy any 3 books on same order (all discounted) and get free shipping also.
-
Wow even FrosGrave etc.so every range/series. Discount does reflect in ones basket see https://ospreypublishing.com/store/osprey-games

Wow, kinda feel I should have waited for this to get Thaw of the Lich Lord. Still hasn't arrived for me yet. Oh well, Helped Nick out with the extra few bucks so no big deal.
-
Only thing took my fancy was dragon rampart but under a tenner posted . :)
-
Thanks for the heads up - cheaper than pre-ordering on Amazon.
-
Thanks, just pre-ordered!

I went for that on black friday. The cart discount worked on the preorder, too. :)
-
Oooh. May have to nab Dragon Rampant then!
-
I grabbed a few copies of DR and Black Ops for our club and Ronin and the IHMN expansion.
Cheaper here than from the BooK Depository which is a first!
-
Unfortunately I can't seem to get Dragon Rampant added to my cart. Listed as "out of stock" and no box to tick for adding to cart.
-
Strange that it'd be listed as out of stock, when it hasn't been printed yet! I'm still getting the tick box, the add to cart button, and the red preorder text anyway. Can't think what it might be, other than your location.

Same here. I can't see any option for pre-order items.
Maybe it's a US/UK thing?

I pre-ordered yesterday. I don't really game but like to read rule systems etc in the hope one day I'll get into gaming. In fact my son has just turned 7 so he'll be ready pretty soon. I think he'll be into it. I've heard a lot of good things about Lion Rampant so thought I'd give this a go and 13 pounds including worldwide shipping (after discount) is a really good deal IMO.
Does Osprey do sculpting books?

I managed to order a copy earlier but it took me couple of attempts. You had to tick a little box on the panel on which format you wanted to buy.

It keeps telling me I need to do that, but there isn't a box to check. Other titles that have already been released have boxes for hardcopy and each of the electronic formats; the unreleased titles have only the printed book; Dragon Rampant has none.
Maybe they sold out of preorder copies?

Sorry yes I preordered it think it was £9.89 posted can't complain at that price ;)

I have pre-ordered. It's great that my friends and I can chuck in our figures from our fantasy collections and get a great game from them! Looking forward to it!

Does Osprey do sculpting books?
They have quite a few modelling books, but it looks like most of them are about mucking about with existing models, especially vehicle kits and specific WWII troops. (fallschirmjager and the like) I have their more general Modelling Scale Figures, but most of it's along the lines of "here's how to clean mould lines off a mini", "how to paint a knight with oils" and "how to paint a goblin with acrylics". There's a grand total of five and a half pages about sculpting with putty, which is about two paragraphs of text, some pics about sculpting a waistcoat on a mini, and some pics about sculpting a model from scratch. And that kinda looks like this tutorial. (http://41.media.tumblr.com/869de090fcb49b95a274f4a3f060ad3f/tumblr_inline_ntlxty3WsV1sq1rnf_1280.jpg)

Nope. :)

Damn you all!
My wallet was already shaking after Black Friday madness and I have had to get Dragon Rampant plus the Orcs and the Dwarves books.
You can be proud of yourselves!
;)

Thanks for the heads up. Ordered this plus one of the boardgames - The King is Dead which looks interesting and reminds me a little of Defender of the Crown visually

Are Books etc a serious buisness? Offering it at nearly half price before it is even released?
-
I hope so, I just orderd some Osprey books and really look forward to them

I've been buying from Books Etc for years without a problem - and get an extra 5% off with a lifetime membership taken out years ago. Buying Ospreys from them seems to be one of the wargaming world's major secrets as they have always been so much cheaper than buying elsewhere, particularly compared to Amazon.

Got my copy form Caliver Books yesterday, it's lovely, so I'm off to paint some stunties
-
:o
I see it's marked as 'in stock' on the Osprey site too. Time to camp by the front door.
-
Ordered my copy from Northstar. Rescued my Dark elves from the attic. Just biding my time now.. ;)
-
Book Depository have it for 28% off with no postage charge

Very odd. The osprey site says publication date 20 December. Do you think they have started posting them all out now then? Hopefully mine will arrive sometime. Still waiting for my nickstarter thaw of the lichlord though.
-
Mine was dispatched by Books Etc a couple of days ago, hoping to get it today or Monday (post can be slow to Isle of Skye).
