I have just started working on painting and basing an army that can be used in both the latter 100 Years War and the campaigns in Italy.

Love the research and the miniatures but a question for the community, what are the preferred rules for this period.
Thank you
Jon

Gonna be honest, I can't point to one rule set and give you an authoritative answer, far from it; but just to get the ball rolling, I've been meaning to check out the second edition of Sword and Spear.

Nice start to your army. :) Looks like it'll be great, all completed and lined up.

I happen to like Hail Caesar rules, but there are a lot of other good rule sets out there. One of the things that I like is that the basing schema is very liberal, seeing that you've started basing them to your own tastes.

I've been looking for the Holy Grail of Late Medieval rules for about 20 years!
Best to go with one that you are confortable with and adapt the rules to pit the period- no mean feat!

I will probably be looking at Sword and Spear as I heard they have a new edition out. The discuss on Maples and Miniatures sounded good.
