Any moment now - a new mould is born and another set appears, blinking and astonished, into a hopefully appreciative world.

Nice! The Yoyodyne are becoming more playable as a variegated stand-alone faction for whatever ruleset they're used.
I've decided now to collect my Spacelords figures as an almost entirely self-contained project to keep it "stylistically pure". Space beastmen versus space samurai is an intriguing prospect when the figures are all sculpted to the same distinctive style. And compared to some of my other projects I'll get away cheap, as well.
-
I'm thinking a few more Yoyodyne sets should be scheduled next with possibility of a Phagon walker or two thrown in. Anybody violently disagree?
Here's the link to the new release, by the way:

Then will you do some more Cybertech blokes? :?

Does this count as "violent disagreement"? :D
I don't know - I'm seeking feedback again.

Yes! Meet me on the Internet's carpark after last orders, for a manly game of slapsies sir! lol
I don't know - I'm seeking feedback again.
FWIW, I'm very interested in the rerelease of C3036 Cybertech Heavy MGs…
(http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~tpope/sol/metal-magic/images/C3036.jpg)
and the C3037 Cybertech comm officers…

Any other Cybertech mens would be grand.
The Phagon walkers might be rather nice too.

Is that slapsies at 20 paces or the real thing?
Anyway, your preferences have been noted. I'm trying to avoid flitting from one race to another too much. I don't know why - it just seems to make sense.
Doug
-
20 paces, of course. I'm not a barbarian. ;)
I understand the reluctance to jump from one race to another, I just thought that as the others have heavy weapons now, the Cybertech lads could do with some heavy firepower too.

"I understand the reluctance to jump from one race to another"
This is hardly jumping about -- I was nagging Doug for the Yoyodyne heavy weaps some half a decade ago...

So it wasn't just me... lol I'll be ordering two sets of these straight out of the gate once one of my deadbeat clients pays up... gotta finish my Yoyodyne platoon for playtesting "It's Them! Blast 'Em!".... 8)

So let it be written, so let it be done! Order sent! :D

And received with thanks. Processed tomorrow. On the downside, it's the one and only for these so far.... :(

C'mon you apes! Ya wanna live forever?!" >:(

I intend to make an order but December is not a good time of year for me to be waiting for parcels from abroad in the post so I'll have to leave it for January.

In that case, there's no alternative. I'll have to keep reminding you in an annoying and bothersome way....

And I shall help you by posting gratuitous photos of my painted Yoyodyne Shigaru platoon once I finish it to annoy, bother, and shame others into sending you everything in their wallets! :D

Well, all teasing aside, I am still quite serious about using these figures as the semi-official-photos-in-the-rulebook go-to minis for our sci-fi skirmish system set in the Silent Death universe. They all have uniform equipment and weapons that can be easily written into/justified by the existing Silent Death canon, right down to those techno backpacks all the human troops wear regardless of whether they're Yoyodynes, wartechs, or SECS troopers, and the Phagons and the Battle Clones have a uniformity of non-terrestrial equipment that can be justified by the Prometheans of the SD canon as well (ie., the Phagons are a "martial race"/"sepoys of the Galandars, while the Battle Clones are actual reptiloid soldiers of the Draconians that fit the anthropomorphic lizard description of the Dracs themselves ala the speculative dinosauroid:
As the various human successor states are all building off of the former Terran Empire's technological base, a high degree of at least initial uniformity of equipment and armaments is to be expected, with oft-times only colors and details of insignia differentiating one House's troops from another. 8)

I do like the Spacelords range...but mostly because of their style. And I mainly hope there will be more civilian-type models. So less guns please. I already have way too many armed sci-fi models, but not enough civvies, workers and other normal people.

I'm not sure there are all that many more non-combatant poses in this series, which was originally rendered back in the late 80s IIRC. Doug has been bringing them back a bit at a time as a private vanity project of sorts, so I for one encourage anyone to support his efforts in rescuing these splendid models from the mists of gaming history, at least by purchasing a set or two of characters for RPGs or as focal objectives for tactical scenarios (ie., a high value target, etc.).
