Fabulous set of PDF articles from the Nicaraguan Defence Force site about the EPS. For anyone interested in the struggle against Olly North's ex-somozista stooges, AKA the Contras it's a must. Some really good pics and some unusual items. Who knew that the Sandinistas possessed a turretless 'recce' version of the Staghound armed with a .50 cal machinegun?
The articles are in Spanish naturally enough but should be intelligible even if you don't read or speak the language. Just click on the articles listed under "30 aņos de vida institucinal 1979 - 2009". There's a link to the complete series of pdfs at the end or you can just download the individual articles that interest you. Some of them relate to the post war period.
