God morning !

I have also continued to paint my Swedish Crusaders, This time the Swedish King to lead his Crusade with his Hird and some casualties in the front.

I wanted the king to look a bit like St Olof so I gave him a big axe like St Olaf are depicted on several church paintings here in Sweden.

More pictures at my blog (http://dalauppror.blogspot.se/2015/12/medieval-king.html)

Have a really nice day !

Best regards Michael

Thanks !!!

Indeed Olof was King of Norway but he was with St Erik the most celebrated Saint in Sweden so a Swedish King would absolutely want to look like St Olof :)
