On google play all the books are on sale these prices are Canadian but you should get the point
Main rules Normally $19.16 now $14.37
Lich Lord currently $9.99(after tax)
Golem Currently $4.00(After Tax)
Since I already purchased the bottom two I can't see the original prices anymore but take a look. :-)

Having never bought a book via  Google can you download as a pdf format, or is it only usable via Google Books?

I just checked the site and they can be downloaded as pdf or epub.
