Does anybody have a scan of that pic? It's got a couple warriors shield bashing couple British soldiers.
-
Nobody? Man, does anyone even know what picture I am talking about? LOL
-
No idea. Is it in an particular Osprey book?
-
I remember it from a Military History magazine cover. I'm pretty sure I saw it in an Osprey book one time as well. Must not be a popular picture.

Perhaps some of the reticence stems from what you are asking people to do - publish a copyrighted image. I have no idea which image you refer to but I know the person who sold McBride originals, or at least many of them. But I cannot ask him to post an image just for your desire. And he may be long out of the business, haven't asked in many a year. But he used to have scores if not hundreds around his place. They were not cheap.

Ah the late Mr McBride, the Tom of Finland for wargamers. All those rippling muscles and pert bottoms. No doubt the Zulus are all brandishing enormous knobkerries. ;)

Appreciate the views and help. I have finally located the pic. Fifteens Away I was not trying to steal Mr. Mcbrides work. I was trying to locate this magazine issue. I just so happened to only vaguely remember the cover and described it as best as I could remember.

Yes, me too. Had a lovely long letter from him which I've still got somewhere. A lovely, generous spirited man as well as a superb artist.

Nice looking illustration! :-* :-* There's a few illustrations that I've seen on the cover of 'Military History' that I've never seen elsewhere. I'd not seen this illustration before and I'm sure there's probably others I haven't seen.
