The Rocky Mountain Military Affairs Society presents a free public lecture . . . "The Mad Baron’s March:  International Rivalries and the Russian Civil War in Mongolia, 1920-1921"

Dr. John Jennings, Department of History, U.S. Air Force Academy

A specialist in Japanese history and a visiting researcher at Sophia University and International Christian University in Japan, John M. Jennings has written numerous books, articles, and reviews on Asian and military history. His publications include The Opium Empire: Japanese Imperialism and Narcotics Trafficking in Asia, 1895-1945 and the forthcoming Encountering Barbarians: Essays in the History of East Asian International Relations, 1428-1967. He is currently completing Taxed in Blood: A History of the Military, State, and Society in Japan, a new book for Reaktion Books. Jennings teaches Asian, military, and world history for the United States Air Force Academy. A Philadelphia native, he earned his doctoral and master’s degrees from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University.

I would have loved to, but Colorado is a little far.

No, even further from Derbyshire...I have been to Colorado Springs though, nice place with an excellent bookshop.
 I would have loved to have gone - I don't know about  recording or a  transcript or something, but I will try to find out.

Lol yes, I did see you were from the UK, but I thought perhaps you were in the states for something. Couldn't work out how you managed to stumble upon this otherwise... how did you stumble upon this?
