Junior Officer WIP project will launch on Kickstarter on 25th March 2016.

Very cool!
This is a niche in VSF worth filling. Other cavalry types would be nice as well.
Well there be more than just cavalry?
-
Possible dismounted versions, full details will be released soon. Infantry seems to be better covered so I will mainly stick with mounted figures and dismounted versions. I have however more ideas than cash at the moment so will need to work in stages.
-
True enough, there are loads of infantry minis from other lines that can always be pressed into service.
BTW... why does the Junior Officer have 2 sword scabbards on the left side?
Personally, I would prefer just the one attached to the saddle.
-
Junior Officer will only have the one on the saddle, so I will check. I know the Senior Officer had 2 in error which has now been fixed.
-
Looks very interesting :)
-
Here is a 1st look at the heavy horse that will be used for the farriers, Kettle drummers, machine gunners and possible others depending on how well the project does.

Love the new mounts and troopers are rather keen, but isn't it damnably difficult to mount without stirrups? ???
Or do the steam mounts simply kneel like camels? ;D
-
Kettle drummers! :o
Now that is kewl.

Ah left front legs folds back and up to form a step to get on and a clip on the inside of the boots attaches to the horse for riding. Or of course the stirrup is missing but I like your camel option, oh which one is it? :-X
-
Heavy Horse more or less finished this will be used for a Farrier, Kettle Drummer and various members of the Machine Gun grew. If the project does well it will also be used for Artillery with a twist, all riders are inter-changeable with both standard and heavy horse as we have kept the saddle the same.

WIP of Farrier on Heavy Horse, this figure will be in the command packs, with Senior Officer, Junior Officer, Trumpeter all on Standard Steam Horses and Kettle Drum on Heavy Horse. The command pack will also be available in a fighting / charging pose. Launches on Kickstarter 25th March getting close now.

The Kettle Drummer is only a mock up for now and may vary slightly in the end.

The machine gun unit is very much a work in progress as only the machine gunner has been started and needs some alterations.

These are great! I didn't think I needed any more cavalry, but I must have them! Looking forward to the kickstarter :D

Remember they is no risk in pledging early, as if we don't reach our goal you will not be charged any money. By pledging early you give others confidence in the project and we are more likely to reach the stretch goals you may want. You can always cancel your pledges later if we do not reach the stretch goal you want.

First WIP of the fighting private and horse, I am planning to do a couple of fighting poses for this unit.

The material is then sucked into the unit on her back and fired, this is all magically powered from the horse. Watch out this lot will hurt!
