As far as I have a bit of celt/numidian/german/french/saxon/american/brettonian spare parts, I've decided to make small but deadly rebel/partisan force.
So, here is first "task force" under some fancy-dressed ex-gipsy criminal.

they look amazing, and made with such a mix bag of parts!
-
Excellent work on those. Where are the coats hanging from the shoulders from?
-
Excellent use of the imagination - brilliant combos of foreign parts! You really cannot beat a good conversion - and these are the best.
Draped coat - Victrix French Napoleonic? An idea I must steal for 54mm.
-
Thank you, gentlemen! :)
Yes, this cool-looking coat is from Victrix line french, and I must say that this box has AMAZING amount of useful parts, especially arms and expressive faces)

:o
Brilliant can't wait to see them painted.
-
Excellent idea - you might want to try the Warlord Games Soviet WW2 sprues especially the ones for winter uniform and weapons.

Statuesque Miniatures also do a beautiful Broomhandle Mauser and other small arms in their Pulp range

Cool looking figures.
Can't wait to see them painted.

Von Stroheim:
Hm..... That could be very nice addition to my forces! WWI and WWII soviet greatcoats are virtually identical in this scale...
I'll try to paint these guys as soon as possible.
-
So, here they are - heroic partisans!
Ready to defend their moonshine industry or unleash hell upon enemy supply lines.

-
great job .love the conversions.
-
Thank you!
I hope more will follow - there are some plans and ideas, including HMG, cavalry and tachanka.

All I can say is WOW!
I really have to tip my hat to someone who can built a great mob of miniatures from such an eclectic bits pile, and the painting really does justice to such awesome conversions.
