Great figures. This looks like fun!
-
Great looking minis! Can't wait for the pics as unfortunately I can't make it to Tactica this year :(
-
Here are some more guys in red clothes. This time frenchies. They are members of the 9th Demi Brigade. On the French side there is the problem, that my sources not clearly say what troops are involved in the fighting at Disuq. There must have been around 300 men, with some light guns. On the British side the 89th regiment under the command of Colonel Stewart attacked. It was assisted by Ottoman troops. (It´s the 89th, that is shown on the first picture.)
-
The eye candy in this thread is great.
:-* :-*
Looking forward to more piccies....?
Oh, yes!
:D :D
-
Gonvalon,
Your buildings are impressive :o :o (not to slight your painting, that is quite nice too). Can you tell me more about them? Thanks!

Seconded, looking forwardnvery much to this. ;D
-
Hello, marianas_gamer.
These buildings are not done by me. The game is a kind of an international project. The houses on the table all come from Chris Riordan in Canada.
The miniatures are painted by Paul Armer in England. (With a few exceptions.)
Most parts of the terrain are done by members of the THS Club in germany.
The game idea, coordination and workout is my part.
Work on the project began two years ago. And I have still more plans for games in egypt in future :-)
-
Here one more teaser from the hot streets of Disuq
-
Damn these look cool.
So Napoleonics in the desert is suddenly really tempting... :(
-
Holy cow, those are chock full of character! :-*
-
Attached some Westfalia Miniatures. I use them as kurdish militia troops.
-
Gosh these are nice. You can smell the heat and dust. Good work fella! A great game starts with a compelling vision, and you obviously have that. Well done
-
Thanks Ignatieff. A clubmember of mine is full of compliments of your wunderfull games and your words count a lot for me.
-
Looking grest, love the Egyptians
-
Here is something you probably like, Shipka. Some Brigade Games Janissarys for the game.

Chaps,
Wow!
Who makes these fabulous Dromedaries and French infantry?
Cheers,
Paul
-
Hello, Paulspence.
The Dromedaries as well as the french infantry are done by Brigade Games.
But also the Perrys will bring very nice french infantry soon. The first of them are shown on the metal workbench.

Beautiful pictures!! :-*
Looking forward to seeing the game at Tactica!!
-
Here we have the other half of the gang and a view on the complete troop.
-
More oriental goodness... in a Spanish-looking village. lol
I love what you did with the Régiment des dromadaires : very vibrant colours and a unit that really 'pops' on the table. I can't wait to see pictures of the full game.
-
Hello Arthur.
The oriental village from the first pictures is still packed for the journey to Hamburg :'(
So I have to improvise. With one eye closed for details the houses might go for Alexandria.
Attached one older picture of the Dromedaries, this time dismounted and in the right setting.
-
this gets better and better. Fantastic work!
-
Really beautiful! Just splendid!
-
I can only echo the comments of the previous members, brilliant, really looking forward to the article and more pictures now . :)
-
Here are some of the heroes that get involved in the battle for Disuq
-
Really wonderful painting :-* :-* The camel jockeys are an incredible unit and the specs on the last fellow just blow me away :o :o
LB
-
Those are beautiful miniatures - vibrant and yet not cartoony - thing I am unable to replicate on my models :(
-
Here some britisch Sailos, that will go for Disuq and some more heroes of the French side.
-
Saw the table on Tactica in Hamburg. Really great stuff.
From which company are the civilians?
-
The three savants (they'd be scientists to English native speakers) are Brigade Games miniatures.
-
Dear koppi.
Here the last of the four scientists of Brigade games, to make a complete picture of the set:

It was a wonderful experience to be in Hamburg at Tactica again. Many thanks to the whole team for organising this splendid event!
Fortunately I had the chance to take some pictures of our table there:

During the next days I'll prepare a article about that on my blog. With some more pictures and a piece of the story behind our weekend.

Its beyond beautiful..
How rules went with Napoleonic

Many thanks. The rules went pretty well. Easy to understand and running smoothly. For skirmish games with about four units per player a really good choice I think but don't expect a simulation with special rules and such.
Some more impressions from the game and some words about the scenario on my blog: Here (http://montys-caravan.blogspot.de/2016/03/tactica-2016-review-2-our-games.html)

Splendid stuff, I especially like the panoramic overhead picture showing the boats arriving. :)
Sorry I missed this years show, hopefully you will have something spectacular again for us to play next year ;D
-
Thanks a lot Nick. Of course I'd appreciate it very much to meet you again there.
As for the game... We're pondering about this and that... ;)

Whatever it is I will look forward to it. :)

Simply fantastic. This invokes such Aubrey&Maturing vibes in me.
-
Did Frenchies won at last once ? :>
What are miniatures used for Ottoman Infantry
-
The Ottoman miniatures I used are mostly Brigade Games, the Albanians are Perrys and a few came from Westfalia.
Here are same examples of the Egypt cavalry.

The three savants (they'd be scientists to English native speakers) are Brigade Games miniatures.
Thanks for the Information.
