I thought I would share my WIP warband. I need to decide what color to paint their robes and cloaks, and what to do with their bases. So if you have suggestions, feel free!

Hmm... Blacks and greys spring to mind. A bright red might work, too. You want to have some contrast, I think.
Mostly Reaper stuff, yeah?

I'd suggest browns or some sort of deep sea abyssal colours.
Also, seriously curious where you got the miniatures from. Reaper?

What a brilliant idea!
For the robes I'd suggest a sickly yellow/brownish colour, like the old GW Vomit Brown highlighted to a pale yellowish. Would provide a good contrast to the purple tentacles, which for me are really the main element of your excellent paint job so far.

Maybe a sickly yellow/Tan, or a deep Blue/Purple?

A lot of good ideas here. My first thought was also a brown or sickly yellow.
The wizard (holding the skull) and apprentice (with the staff), and the illithid treasure hunter with sword, are all reaper miniatures. The three thieves/thugs and the slave holding the book above his head for his master - the groveling subhuman cultists - are miniatures from Scibor Miniatures. The abberation with spear, my barbarian, is a D&D pre-painted plastic miniature that I rebased, started repainting and added a GW High Elf Seaguard spear to. I have a second one of these D&D miniatures that I am going to convert as well. Either I will give it another spear, or some other weapon... not sure.

Great idea for a warband. I'm thinking my next bunch of bruisers might be an underdark band of drow, druegar, mind flayers and spiders! This is a great start to the warband, look forward to seeing more.

I was thinking either a dark, scab red, or an off white for the robes.
